Introducing The Dior Addict All New Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balms | The Pretty Squad In Town

Streamers and balloons with gleaming little lights arrived with an ultra sweet note at our doorstep previously and those shades of pink and red set our heart racing a little already. Who doesn't love a little surprise now and then, right? This time, it was from team #DiorMY (they are always such a sweet heart), thanks a million for such a pleasant parcel. Today is Valentine's Day, so what better way to celebrate than to put on some wash of pink on the lips and make them oh-so-kissable on this special occasion. Let's check these new shades out, lovelies and your Valentine's Day (or any other day in the year, for that matter) will never be the same again *_^

Dior Lip Glow is essentially a lip balm, a combination of lip care and makeup in one convenient bullet, donned in super pretty pink casing. Best thing about this lip product is that it is so intuitively simple to apply (without mirror, you still won’t go wrong *_^), no wonder it was a huge hint and a big time favourites of super models and backstage makeup artists. Lip glow comes in an array of shades.

With all the love from women around the world, today, Dior is now offering even more options and choices. The Lip Glow range has expanded with a new squad of colours and effects – Glow, Holographic and Matte, an array of 6 new fresh and delicious shades of pink to suit any skin tone. They are Matte Glow (the soft matte balm by Dior), Holo Glow, an iridescent texture in the holographic trend today. In addition to the glow shade Coral 004 and Ultra pink 008, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup created the two new Matte Pink 101 and Matte Raspberry 102. 

Even though the colours look really vivid and intense on Dior's Lip Glow adverts on social media like Instagram here, on our lips, they do not appear as strong and deep. They still look and feel like lip balm to us, like a wash of varied shades of pink. Holographic textured ones most definitely give you the sheen if you love to have your lips pop and have that frosty shine with flecks of shimmer look. Matte ones are not that drying to be honest, on the lips, but don't expect them to be as opaque as your normal lipsticks as they still look balmy. 

101 Matte Pink is the sheerest of them all, almost seem to have not much colour on our lips but definitely super natural. If you love nothing but just a hint of flush pink on your lips, this may tickle your fancy *_^ 

Of all the 5 shades here, we took an interest in the shade 010 Holo Pink, even though it is shimmery, but it has a little of that coral tone within the pink shade, we personally feel. It is indeed pretty wearable for us and compliments our complexion well. Our favourite shade from this collection by far. 

Whether you love a matte finish, or head over heels with holographic effect for your lips, you would most likely find one shade that you would fall in love with, if you are a lip balm lover who likes the moisturising quality of the Dior Addict Lip Glow series. New shades are most definitely fun to play with, at least we know we did. Yes, your Valentine's Day will be a shimmery glowing one, no matter!
