[Review] Dior Backstage | Glow & Shine Like A Dior Model On The Runway

If one watches enough backstage behind-the-scene videos of fashion runway shows, one would be very familiar with the rush and adrenaline that come with prepping and preparing the models' makeup, hair, wardrobe and all, the list seems to go on and on. Makeup is a crucial part of the whole process. This brings us to this blog post (which is long overdue by the way, our apologies), we got a taste of the models line up and got an exclusive VIP pass to witness the launch of Dior's recent Dior Backstage professional performance makeup line at KLCC. The concept behind this first ever makeup collection inspired by Dior backstage was developed and designed by Peter Philips, Dior's Creative and Image Director for makeup to give women around the world a taste of professional makeup. Surprisingly the collection is very extensive and broad, beauty products from face, eyes, lips, makeup brushes right down to nail (here for more)We shall share with you our experience using selected products from the range. Introducing The Dior Addict All New Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balms | The Pretty Squad In Town

Streamers and balloons with gleaming little lights arrived with an ultra sweet note at our doorstep previously and those shades of pink and red set our heart racing a little already. Who doesn't love a little surprise now and then, right? This time, it was from team #DiorMY (they are always such a sweet heart), thanks a million for such a pleasant parcel. Today is Valentine's Day, so what better way to celebrate than to put on some wash of pink on the lips and make them oh-so-kissable on this special occasion. XMAS 2017 Series | Dior Precious Rocks Rocking That Glittery Glam Look

Nothing beats a good line-up of amazing makeup collection specially tailor-made for the festive season. Christmas bells are ringing in and in no time, we are ending the year of 2017. Time flies when you have fun, no? Our little Christmas came super early all thanks to our beloved beauty brand, Dior and a huge hugs and kisses to Dior Malaysia for still loving us all these while even though we have been so bogged down by our full time work that blogging here took a backseat with delayed updates. How we wished we could just blog full time at times like these. 

Enough of ranting, we are extremely thrilled over the favourite time of the year. With Dior, it is all about the glitter and glam, Dior style all the way, aptly called Dior Precious Rocks Holiday 2017 Collection (here for more). We have put together something a little different this year for our Christmas series, hope you lovelies will enjoy nonetheless. We are going for the look book style instead of purely review piece. Precious Rocks, paying homage to unfettered rock spirit, confidently precious!

Opulent and glittery this season, the eyes sparkle with a kaleidoscope of myriad shades, in a prismatic way. The design is captivatingly hypnotic, the colours will embellish your eyes with wonderful shades. 5 Couleurs Precious Rocks Limited Edition in Ruby and Emerald, you take your pick, whichever that tickles your fancy. Add a little touch of colour onto the nails with this season's limited edition shades of Diorific Vernis, which comes in its signature bottle with a golden cap. 4 new shades to let your nails do the talking and shine bright with gel-like finishing. This Christmas, we imagine the most sophisticated gold, yet in a more subdued kind of manner, accentuated slightly with a touch a golden shimmer to excite and tease the senses of the admirer of a Dior woman who shows up at a party. She glows in pretty shades of golden dust of the irresistible Christmas 2017 limited edition Diorific Precious Rocks Golden Glow Loose Powder, (here for more) that catches the most brightest light in a sensual way that gets one thrilled with pleasure, looking almost like a Greek goddess of the night. Introducing Dior Colour Gradation Spring 2017 Collection

Time flies and spring announces its arrival with such energy that it feels like there are so much more to experience, explore and do during this season. One of them would be to uncover what Dior, the beauty brand has to offer this season. Thanks to Dior Malaysia, we had the opportunity to try out some of the beauty items that are available this spring, they called it the Colour Gradation Spring 2017 Collection. (here for more) Shall share our thoughts on them today.

Dior Colour Gradation Eyeshadow Palette (4.5g at MYR260) - Limited Edition

There are two shades of this 4-colour palette, 001 Blue Gradation and 002 Coral Gradation. The one we have is 001. Comes in Dior's signature casing and pouch, the four blue shades of colours look impressive in the pan, adorned with the pleated pattern of the house of Dior, simple yet alluring we feel. 

From sky blue to azure, the cool tones compliment each other and we love how it can be subtle yet the intensity of the eyeshadows are good enough to build up to a more smokey effect for the eyes.  Soft yet buttery feel to the eyes, matte finishing, this palette is versatile. If you love the colour blue, you will fall in love with this one. We did notice the staying power of the eyeshadow was not as expected, an eye base product would be advisable. Here for more.

Rouge Dior Brillant Lipshine & Care Couture Colour

If you had known us long enough, we are not really a lip gloss kind of gal, more lipsticks instead, but we have to say this new one by Dior took us by surprise. We totally enjoyed it as it glides on effortlessly, leaving the lips feeling moist, light, not sticky, very much liquidy kind of feel, yet the colour payoff is intense. It looks more like opaque liquid lipstick rather than a gloss. We are pretty in love with this shade, 878 called Impulsive, really as it gives our lips a pop of colour, looking classic yet with a twist of fun element to it!

Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Spring 2017 (Limited Edition)
We have tried pink mascara before but BLUE would be our first, this one from Dior spring 2017 collection is one really pretty one in terms of the shade of blue, 284 Overnight. Love the packaging of the tube and the wand is built in such a way that it does catches a lot of eye lashes and coats our lashes well with the blue hue. Quite electrifying, the final look and effect. The only little qualm we had with this one is the fluidity of the formula, it feels a tad too thick and dry. If it were a little more watery, it would be so much more easier to glide onto the lashes. XMAS 2016 Series | Dior 2016 Holiday Splendor Collection, Making A Golden Splash This Festive Season

First and foremost, there is a spoiler to this post, as much as we were super excited when we received this season's Dior 2016 Holiday Collection Splendor (here for more) quite some time back, but we didn't get around to photograph them proper yet, hence we never gotten around to try them all out until much later and by now, as we are penning this post, we discovered that some of the items within the collection has already sold out! Ouch, our apologies for not getting this one out much earlier. Nonetheless, in the spirit of Christmas coming right up real soon, we would still love to share just a quick one with you on our thoughts of this super lovely collection from our favourite beauty brand, Dior *_^

[Review] Diorskin Forever | And Ever Makeup Primer Base & Perfect Makeup Fluid Foundation

We openly admits that we are a Dior fan, period. We have come to enjoy the brand since some time last year and it has been a wonderful journey thus far (discover it here). Today, we would love to share with you our little experience using this range that is new to us from Dior - The new Diorskin Forever, which we had the pleasure to try out - The Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Primer & Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup (Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect) Fluid Foundation.

This Diorskin Forever makeup range has been reinvented to provide continued correction as well as matte and fresh finish that supposedly last for 16 hours. Of course, there is another product within this range, which is the Diorskin Forever and Ever Control Loose Powder, but that will come in our future post, coupled with another sculpting beauty product from Dior, in due time *_^
