BONJOUR! We believe no one does it better than LANCÔME when it comes to weightless perfection in beauty products, especially their cushion foundations. We love the cushion rolled out in 2016 and still do till now. (Discover more here) When we received the invitation to "Delight in an afternoon of weightless perfection with the NEW Blanc Expert Cushion" with the brand few months back, we were looking forward to something new from this luxury French brand, especially in terms of its seriousness and advancement in terms of research and development.
That was an enchanted afternoon as the Le Meridien Pool Bar & Grill @8 was decorated with beautiful roses in various shades of red. We got to check out the two new Lancôme Blanc Expert Cushions there on display - High Coverage SPF50+/PA+++ and Light Coverage SPF29/PA+++ and we were brought into the ballroom to further explained to us the unique qualities and benefits of each one of them and what were added onto the new releases. Lets take a look at the one we have with us from the brand - the high coverage version, shall we?
Lancôme Blanc Expert Cushion High Coverage Foundation SPF50+/PA+++ (MYR188, include refill and case)
Comes with the same famous puff for fresh application, this NEW Blanc Expert Cushion (high coverage) has a slightly different top volume. Still like its previous predecessor, mirrored, but the rose icon is now 3D instead of printed onto the casing. The shade we were given was O-01 (not our exact matching shade because it is slightly lighter). It also comes with the same interwoven fibres that offer more space for the formula and mesh for covering the sponge to filter the right amount of formula to ensure fine, even application.
The whole approach to this new cushion compact is to achieve the lightness of the rose petal. It has high volatile ingredients (more than 50% of the formula) flash off during application and provides a cooling and lightweight sensation. Enriched with anti-oxidant agents like Baikaline, Rose and Mint Extracts. It is also said that this new cushion has a luminous finish with brightening effect, very low rate of fillers to provide a moisturised look finish to the complexion.
Our verdict? It did feel super lightweight, just like the last year's version and has a relatively good coverage, though need a little more with our pigmentation problematic areas for coverage. We love everything about this new one, as much as how we love the 2016 version (here for a detailed review), except one thing. It seems to loose its dewy finish look that the old one has on our complexion. Perhaps the dewy finish one is moved over to the lightweight cushion now. We have to admit we lean more towards a dewy finish, just our personal preference. So, if you are the same with us, you may want to take a look at the other lightweight cushion instead *_^
On another note, the Lancôme UV Expert Youth Shied Aqua Gel that came along with the cushion during the event is a pleasant one to use. We find it super lightweight, non-sticky and smooth onto our face effortlessly. We love the high sun protection factor this sunscreen comes with, definitely great for protecting our skin from the city environmental aggressions and sun damage with heavy exposure.

All in all, it was a gorgeous Lancôme event, having to experience it ourselves the new technology that comes with each new releases from the brand. There were artistic painterly calligraphy session, as well as flower bouquet making. Yes, we chose the phrase, "A happy woman is a beautiful woman" as we truly believe in that motto.
