[Inspiration] Photographer Crush | Jessica Drossin, An Artistic Expression

We feel visual representation through photography is an art form, it captures that particular moment, frozen in time, forever - it can be as real as it can get, realism in many ways, or it can be as creative as you would like to take it, even during post edit. It is very subjective and highly imaginative. No matter which school of thoughts you subscribe to or believe in, we feel photography is an extension of how you see the world, as an artist, as a photographer or just merely a creative individual who is exploring. Today, we would love to share our photographer crush, one which we stumbled upon last year and had been eager to feature her work here, for the longest time. 

Style Crush | Jessi Malay of My White T

Could we say sensual is a state of mind and sexy is a state of looking the part? We stumbled upon this stylish looking Los Angeles born and bred singer, fashion beauty blogger and entrepreneur personality's space some time back. Yes, we have to admit, we were captivated by her super sexy silhouette, then the beautiful photography work on her blog, and her fashion style. We feel she epitomizes what we think a sexy woman is, that beach-perfect body and having the boldness to flaunt it in a way that it plays to her perfect advantage, in a tasteful manner and approach. Always chic and polished, but never overly explicit, and definitely pleasing to the eyes, that is crucial. She is our Style Crush this time around - Miss Jessi Malay from My White T.

Can you believe that she started performing since 2 years old? By the time Jessi was 8, she was already touring the world and performing at major venues across the country and the world. An intimate interview with the fashion icon Diane Von Furstenberg and a trip to New York Fashion week cemented her love for the fashion world, and like most people say, the rest is history.

Traversing between lucid visuals and stunning landscapes, capturing subjects with vivid representation with a sense of style that is equally alluring and captivating, our discovery of Anders Overgaard's photography was a pleasant surprise, like always, with any creative discoveries that we venture upon. We believe that beauty should be shared and appreciated by more, for seeking beauty in the ordinary and to represent life in a beautiful way are what excites us the most. 

A Danish photographer, Anders Overgaard's years of working under the wings of world-class photographer like Bruce Weber did pay off handsomely, now that Anders's photography work in the fields of fashion, entertainment, advertising and so much more has cemented his status and further illustrated his artistry in photography - producing stunning imagery all the time, for his endless list of clientele which include reputable fashion magazines, celebrities, corporate companies and more, over the years.

[Inspiration] Feeling A Little Korean Kind Of Love

Perhaps it is post "just-finished-our-favourite-Korean-series" withdrawal syndrome kind of feeling, or maybe we do love these faces from that far away "dream factory" that is Korea, we are feeling like sharing with you some of our recent crushes from the Korean ad campaigns and fashion editorials. We find them really alluring in a horribly chic and modern way. Super love the styling and makeup done for them. 

Talking about the Korean series, we meant the one called Oh My Ghotess. It's a little story which is quite enchanting and entertaining. We love the natural acting of the female lead, the young and adorable Park Bo-Young a lot. The charming Jo Jung-suk did a wonderful job playing opposite the bubbly, at times troubled Park. We thoroughly enjoyed the series. We shall not give away the storyline here. [Inspiration] Style Crush | Arely of Glamoury Armory

We personally feel nothing makes a woman more beautiful than she herself has arrived at a stage in life whereby she knows what works best for herself, and she is most definitely very comfortable in her own skin. A beautiful woman takes great care in making herself look presentable, owning her look, never a victim of fashion trends, sharing her love and passion for the things she loves with others, doing so much more while taking great care of her family by spending quality time with them. This woman whom we have come to admire and love her fashion style is none other than our good blogger friend Arely Munoz of Glamoury Armory! 

A beautiful woman knows how to take time off for herself, to enjoy the simple (and sometimes finer) things in life, and knows a great buy when she spots one. She is not one who loves to own it all when it comes to fashion buys, but carefully selects what is best for her, season after season. We feel, Arely is that kind of a woman. Her style is always classic, polished, at times tomboyish and a little preppy. Whatever she is in, she always manages to look super cool, comfortable and chic.

We adores her simple approach to fashion, always very minimal, modern and chic, in her very own way. Her closet is one that fills with basics, with monotone colour palettes that work to her advantage, in which she totally exudes that confidence that is equally demanding, yet approachable in a super friendly manner. 

[Style Crush] Bougeotte By Victoria

Our love for her was an accidental and beautiful discovery via one of our top and most favourite spaces called this is glamorous few years back, about the time when we were about to embark and take our very first baby step here at LUMINNEJ. A constant contributor to this beautiful site, Victoria's own space, Bougeotte is also nothing but glamorously beautiful, filled with fashion and beauty inspirations that we can never get over with, time and time again. 

With her growing up in Spain, having moved from Ukraine, she later then travelled to Europe and the rest of the world that makes this young gal a wanderlust who dreams of nothing but beauty in life. We absolutely adore and are definitely drawn towards her sense of creating stunning collages, filled with lovely images that only a classic yet modern woman rolled into one can appreciate.

[Inspiration] Photographer Crush | Mara Lazaridou From Greece

Once in a while, we chanced upon beauty that truly captures our heart and attention and this photographer we discovered very accidentally through instagram just very recently is enough for us to be instantly smitten by  her feed. That itself brought us to her online platform here where we fell in love with more of her fashion photography work.

Like most of her photography work (especially on instagram), we have minimal details about Mara Lazaridou, except for the facts that she is an intagram lover (much like us *_^), a fashion photographer and a mommy (stated in her IG profile), but she did mention in a short interview that her photography style is a fusion of fun, minimal and romantic images. These reflect more so in her instagram updates. From her official website, we found them to be slightly different.

Mara also revealed that since she discovered instagram and mobile photography, it allows her to have more freedom to explore and be more creative and look at photography in a new light *_^

We absolutely love her play of light and shadow and noticed that her fashion photography work always make the female character/model looks pretty sensual and polished, almost sophisticated with beautiful styling of makeup and hair. Some of the locales are to die for with that exotic and Mediterranean vibe to them.

[Inspiration] Style Crush: Shini Park of Park & Cube

Our relationship dates back to...hmm... perhaps two years back? Or perhaps longer. Even before LUMINNEJ came into existence, we have been reading (occasionally, on and off, we have to admit) about her adventures. Honestly, we were more obsessed with her lovely photography work. After a site revamp, we dropped off the radar for a while but since last year, we reconnected with her again. 

Of course, we write as if we know her personally, but in fact, we don't. It's just that sort of feeling, you know? When you read the blog, you love it so much that you feel as though you are part of that world, and some how, you kid yourself into thinking that, "Hey, we are good friends, right?". That beautiful world we fell in love with, way back, is Park & Cube by Shini Park.

Of late, what we love most, apart from the stunning visuals (of food, travel, objects, fashion), is her writing. She writes with a sense of humour that makes us smile. We love a woman who does not seem to take herself too seriously, and who seemingly does not intentionally draw a lot of attention towards her beauty, never realizing herself that, she is in fact, lovely. Quiet beauty indeed. Of course, let's not forget, the person behind those lens who captures the object of beauty of any fashion blogger, the person who holds the camera and compose those shots!

[Inspiration] Photographer Crush | Cindy Chen from Melbourne

This is yet another new discovery of ours just today. Actually we have been following this photographer via instagram but never really get to checking her blog out until now. We are absolutely delighted that we did. Definitely a great find we had. 

Cindy Chen is a freelance stylist and photographer based in Melbourne. She styles and photographs projects which involve food, lifestyle and product. We have totally fallen in love with her styling and photography, especially how she captures beauty products. We still can't get over the fact that how nice she can make her cat look! (usually we are not so much a cat person and seeing pictures of this feline creature, haha).
