[Review] The NEW LANCÔME Blanc Expert Cushion Compact | Lightness Of The Rose Petal

BONJOUR! We believe no one does it better than LANCÔME when it comes to weightless perfection in beauty products, especially their cushion foundations. We love the cushion rolled out in 2016 and still do till now. (Discover more here) When we received the invitation to "Delight in an afternoon of weightless perfection with the NEW Blanc Expert Cushion" with the brand few months back, we were looking forward to something new from this luxury French brand, especially in terms of its seriousness and advancement in terms of research and development. 

Introducing The Brand New Lancôme Boutique

There is always something to look at, something that catches your eyes or something that tickles your fancy and interest, or perhaps many more treasures that make your heart flutter and you feel like you are in a magical land of wonders, filled with colours and spoilt by choices. That was exactly how we felt when we first stepped feet into Lancôme's very first South East Asia boutique, which recently opened its door at The Gardens Mall to beauty addicts and lovers. We were invited to a cosy comforting session and it was such a wonderful afternoon.

We must first and foremost announce that we have never used a liquid eyeliner before! Just the thought of it scares us a little, feels so daunting, as we have butter and jittery fingers when it comes to drawing some precision lines, more so onto our delicate eyes area with some form of ink that is hard to erase if one makes a mistake. So, eager we were to explore the new Lancôme Grandiôse Liner (here for more) and its partner in crime, the Grandiôse Extrȇme (Mascara) at IOI City Mall when the invite came in from our lovely friends at Lancôme Malaysia recently. With all the #bendtheline buzz around this new fantastic 35 degree bendable wand, an exclusive technology by Lancôme, we definitely needed to check it out and also see if this one will ease our way into using a liquid eyeliner much more pleasantly with less anxiety *_^

[Review] Lancôme Énergie De Vie Liquid Care | Smoothing and Glowing With Energy

Have you ever felt like you are taking on too much in life? It feels like you have so much to do, so little time, yet you are not willing to give up that kind of lifestyle you are so accustomed to, as a modern career woman, and feel that life should be more than just this? Exhausted? No way! (in denial) Tired? Hhhmm... perhaps. According to the experts at Lancôme, we most likely experience this new kind of fatigue for a new generation without even us knowing it. They called it the Urban Fatigue. It is not only a conventional fatigue that linked to lack of sleep, but a general one, an emerging phenomenon linked to the constant demand of the modern environment. 

You may be wondering what those demands of this modern world would be? Taking on increasing personal or professional projects, following the latest trends and maintaining a constant presence on social networks, going out until the early hours of the morning, but looking to recharge our batteries through yoga and detox diets, wanting everything (that's a killer!), all the time, without making any compromises. This, according to the team, is the exciting paradoxical reality of the generation of 25 - 35-year-olds - The "Gen Y".

Although we have to admit that we are WAY passed this Gen Y cap in terms of human age, but we are guilty of such a lifestyle - too much work, too little time to unwind, yet not willing to compromise. Being a somewhat "perfectionist" and constantly be in this "always give our very best in whatever we do" mode do take a toll on us, we feel. Juggling a full time producer/screenwriter profession with motherhood and blogging, amongst other roles do not help either. The struggle is real.

The Lancôme team explained this in the recent Énergie De Vie launch here - It is no surprise that almost half of the women of this generation state that they are tired on a daily basis. While for 59% of them, this fatigue is due to lack of sleep, 38% of them admit that it has more to do with "multitasking" and staying up late at night to watch series (guilty and checked), read or spend time on their computer (checked, writing on the blog *_^). 

That's not it. It is confirmed by Vincent Gregoire, from the trend forecast agency, Nelly Rodi: "This is a generation that has reinvented itself as a superheroine, that does not feel tired, that is always supposed to feel on top form. They have this obsession with always wanting to do things, to have strong experiences. They will take the time to be tired afterwards." Oh dear, why do we feel like we are part of the statistics already! Yucks.

The Lancôme Énergie De Vie Launch | An Energised Refreshing Afternoon

Bonjour! We first noticed Énergie De Vie this new range from the beautiful French brand, Lancôme was, yes, you guessed it right, over at Instagram (since we spent quite an amount of time there), and it instantly caught our eyes - that refreshing one-of-a-kind type of green, almost bursting with some sort of energy, as if it will spill over, right out of our mobile screen *_^ Not too long after, the universe answered our call. An invitation came from the Lancôme Malaysia team, requesting our presence at their media launch (we secretly danced a happy dance that day! haha). So, there we were, at the beautiful Greyhound Cafe, which had been turned into a lush green garden that very afternoon, and we knew, somehow, it would be an interesting day. 

Instantly, we had a crush on Lily Colins, her campaign ad for the range is amazingly beautiful, to us. We could not get our eyes off her here. The team quickly took us for a quick round tour, we have the product range corner, the music corner, the photo booth corner, a Lily Colin's look-alike-pose contest, as well as a green DIY corner, which would be revealed much later, we were told.

We experienced our very first Cushion Compact here previously and it was truly a great introduction to this innovative makeup product, which the Koreans are famous for. [Review] Lancôme Advanced Génifique: A Conversation With Youthful Aura

The Prelude

Lucid, lightness of being and as fluid as I am, I could feel your sense of curiosity in me, this time around, yet in a much more familiar way, but still wishing that perhaps I may be more, the moment I presented myself to you, that very evening. 

The Arrival

I came with the presence of beautiful bouquet of white roses, permeating a scent of eloquent freshness in the air, which I felt it almost took your breath away. I may have come, this time around, with a slightly different box, but nonetheless, equally hypnotic and mysterious, in a dark shining suit. You will always be able to recognize me, instantaneously, by my rose petal stamp on the box and the silvery cap, with an exquisitely designed glass body that can only be appreciated if you are a lover of beauty like me. In fact, I have become an iconic symbol that I am often referred to as, The Little Black Bottle, as you may have already know. [Sneak Peek] Lancôme Advanced Génifique

Today (we meant Thursday) was quite a strange day, it drizzled in the morning, providing us the perfect time for daydreaming and the feeling of nostalgia quickly set in. We always love a little rainy day like this, excellent way to stay indoor and get some work done, and feel that tinkling cool sensation, a welcoming break from the hot and humid weather of late. 

An old friend called on the phone and we spoke for close to an hour, which is quite a rare occasion these days (you know, we are so plugged into the social media way of corresponding with friends). It was quite a different experience. 

Towards the end of the day, as we were preparing dinner, hubby announced that something has just arrived for us in the mail. To our pleasant surprise, it was a little white paper bag package with that iconic little rose logo. Instantaneously, we knew that it was something from the lovely French beauty brand, Lancôme!

Now we have tried this Lancôme Advanced Génifique concentrate before, and when approached by friends at Lancôme Malaysia if we would love to give it a try again, this time around, share our experience of how it fares after 7 days, we happily took up the challenge.
