Travel | Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam | A Class of Its Own For Business & Leisure Part 1

An escapade from the city can be a stone throw away with the NEW Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam, part of Marriott Bonvoy's extraordinary portfolio of 30 hotel brands, including Courtyard by Marriott. Let's rewind a little here.

2022 was quite a hectic year for us, traversing and adapting to new changes at work and welcoming different kind of challenges. Getting news that a possible staycation right before the Lunar New Year of the rabbit 2023 was quite a pleasant surprise indeed, all thanks to a long-time dearest gal friend! (huge hugs and kisses). The mind had already wandered away to a tropical city getaway way before the actual check-in date! haha 

Finally, the weekend arrived. Saturday late morning traffic was relatively kind to us - we reached within approximately 40 minutes. The colourful exterior of this 4-star deluxe hotel, in the heart of Setia Alam immediately caught our attention. It was looking exciting already! 

Nestled within a vibrant vicinity of lifestyle offerings like the stylish shopping precincts including Setia City Mall (which is conveniently accessible by a link bridge from the hotel), work (meetings and conventions, Setia City Convention Centre), exhibitions (MICE) activities, picturesque and scenic parks, top restaurants, entertainment hot spots and more, Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam is the perfect choice for business and leisure travellers alike. 

When you arrived at the lobby, you will be greeted by a huge wall-fitted curved LED screen at the reception  area (which had a warm personalised welcoming message that day for media partners like us), enthralled by the high ceiling with mesmerising chandelier, clean interior with marble elements (huge pillars) and ample of open space accentuated with comfortable earthy tone, yellow and soft aqua furnishing! 

For those who enjoy a cup of exquisite and top-notch coffee, one can head over to the Lobby Lounge where you will be greeted by the friendly barista on duty. When the night falls, this is a place to savour a signature cocktail or glass of wine and recap the day's highlight. For us, we had a quick afternoon session with Derrick Felix, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam over a cup of nice the-tarik and yummy cookies. We especially love the relaxing vibe at the lounge!

The hotel also offers extensive facilities for meetings, business conferences and social events like weddings and birthday parties. The versatile event space includes a 1,120-square-meter pillar less Grand Ballroom and several flexible function spaces that are great for corporate and social gatherings.

All in all, we had a fantastic first impression and tour of the Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam and experienced the warm welcoming hospitality on our first day. We were even shown some of the other rooms - Guest, Deluxe and Bedroom Suite during our tour. We could not wait to show you our Executive Suite and other fabulous amenities like the Swimming Pool, Sky Bar and Fitness Center and the sublime 5 Wells Restaurant.
