[Inspiration | Musing] April You Came To My Rescue So Aptly

Words swirl around the twisted mind, twirling within the unimaginative, for if they do not materialise and flow out of that crazy mind, they would seem treacherous, almost like a crazy fierce dog started chasing you for no particular reason, and you fear for your life so much that, you could only run, aimlessly, searching for a place to hide, a place to runaway, without the slightest idea that that place you once thought was safe and real, is none other than an illusion you build yourself, in your broken mind.

April feels like it has arrived in time to save us, save us from the unexpected turn of events in life before this. It feels like an imminent storm has settled down, it has subsided, for the better. It taught us a few good lessons in life. It reminds us to take life, with a pinch of salt, take a closer look before you leap, for that leap could either send you across to more exciting challenges ahead or leave you crashing and falling, deep beneath the abyss of regrets and there would not be any turning back after. 

We feel these shades of the coming of time speak of our current mood and state of mind beautifully, that Vanilla Sky above and those deep grey blue hues. We would love to dedicate this very simple, but absolutely stunning number called Pertolongan Mu Begitu Ajaib (loosely translated as Your Miraculous Assistance) by Indonesian singer, Citra Scolastika to a very special friend out there. You know who you are. For you who has the courage to live, the courage to re-live, the courage to not stop chasing for happiness in life, and the bravery to be who you are meant to be, we say a HUGE thank you, from the deepest of our small humble heart.

[Inspiration] That Lovely Thing Called Tulle

In a perfect make-believe world, all angels would be dressed in a magical material in fashion called tulle, this is what was conjured up in our dreams, whenever our mind went overdrive and could not stop but day dreaming away. 

Of course, in this close to perfect real world (depends on how you want to look at the glass *_^), for us, there is this magical and endearing quality about tulle that it seems to never go out of style, its timeless quality makes it so everlasting. Strangely, no matter how much we love the look of it, we do not own a piece of this garment in our closet but always dream of wearing one, honestly. 

Tulle the name itself actually originates from a city called TULLE in the Southern central region of France, where it was well known as the center of lace and silk production in the 18th century. Learn a little more about tulle here. Whenever we think of tulle, we immediate picture some lightweight fabric/material or netting commonly used in veil, wedding gowns or ballet tutus. Most definitely due to its feminine feel, touch and look that it presents itself. Nonetheless, as you can see here, there are more ways to incorporate tulles in the things in our lives to give it that extra lovely dreamy quality to them.

[LIVE STREAMING] Burberry AW2016 Menswear Collection

Super excited yet again, LUMINNEJ to be given the opportunity to collaborate with our favorite British fashion and beauty brand, Burberry to bring you their up-and-coming new Autumn/Winter 2016 Menswear collection, unveiling right here at our space.

We are indeed very much looking forward to this collection, knowing and witnessing the previous seasons before this, since its AW14 collection here, we have always enjoyed the menswear selections. Judging from the sneak peek visuals here, perhaps Christopher Bailey is trying something a little different?

KLFW 2015 | Carven Ong - The Finer Details of Being A Woman

We are not able to let it go, not just yet. Yes, after all these while, those detailed work on the gowns that floated down the runway, that very day, are still very much playing in our minds, repeatedly. Hopelessly romantic and graceful, Carven Ong's Collection for Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear 2015 (KLFW2015) was one of the highlights to the annual event this year, for us, personally. (Those few shows that we managed to catch, not all, unfortunately)

We remembered vividly that, our camera kept clicking away when the pieces were presented, as if, involuntarily, without our permission, but we were more than happy to do so. Each piece had its charm, they captured our heart - the beads, the carefully crafted details of embroidery, the materials used, the geometrical lines and the intricately and well-made pieces of gowns, all spoke to us in ways that we could not hold back our excitement. We especially love the muted hues, it seems to set the tone and mood for the season, we felt. It is dreamy, to say the least. We had fallen in love, deep in love this time around. 

[Inspiration] The Fall Beauty Mix

Exactly last year today, falling for fall style was a dreamy one. This time around, we had a crush in all things earthy brown, navy blue, clean silhouettes and oversized sweater with a splash of deep champagne mixed berry tone sort of colour palette, especially for the lips in this autumn season. The face can also be super clean and chic with muted nude tones as well, for a different look and feel.
