[Inspiration | Musing] Leave Her For Me

October

How does it feel to fall behind? How does it feel to leave behind the one you once thought you love, so deeply, for another? But again, that is the natural progression of things in life, you say? Please, don't twist your words to protect your fragile ego, or even your greedy heart for more. That would be too cruel, wouldn't it? Spare me the pretense, the chilling cold stare, the sugar-coated words that seem tasteless after a while.

Please leave summer, leave her for me, fall.

Indeed, the lure of fall can be deceiving, but if I can't have you now, or all of you, I might as well not have you at all as I can't allow myself to watch you go, I can't bear the hurt, or keep this beating heart going anymore. Choked by the tears in my chest, drown by the shivers in my head, I am just a weak soul that has fallen deeply for you.

Stop the rain from sliding down the leaves, please.

  1. It's the first day of October and it's finally chilly enough to feel like fall. I actually quite like the season and it's one of the prettiest times of the year in NYC but somehow in the past few years the actual weather of the season never seems to hang around for long enough. I can only hope that maybe we'll actually get to enjoy it for a little longer this year before it starts getting cold. To be honest sometimes I kind of wished I lived in a temperate country like yours haha :)

  2. It's always interesting to see how the changing seasons effect people individually. I spent years firmly attached to Summer, though as time has progressed I've found myself becoming more and more excited for both Autumn and Winter and all that they bring! I hope this season won't disappoint you Jeann, have a lovely weekend :)
