The culmination of freshness of fruity floral, seduction of a very rare kind of rose and the sweet warmth of woodiness of precious ingredients from the garden and nature bring forth this extremely unique scent, imbued with endless imagination and a sense of adventure, grounded with sensuality of a woman who looks at the world with a fresh new eyes and mind, every time. Sisley Paris's new scent,  IZIA  (here fore more) came to us like a breath of fresh air, as surprising as the gorgeous pink and gold accent packaging, and its exquisite glass bottle specially designed by Polish sculptor, Bronislaw Krzysztof is more than enough to entice you to take another look at Izia or just pick up the bottle and to sample its amazingly unique scent. We are pleasantly surprised, truly.

I taste the forever juicy succulent red berries and pear in my mouth, only to savour their natural flavour of freshness that ignites my love for the nature, I carry the breath of the soul that binds my heart with that petals of gorgeous white gardenia and frangipani flowers only to reaffirms me that I am a flower girl who is hopelessly in love with the whispers of romanticism flower brings. I finally feel the depth of patchouli and brown sugar that linger over my body that dances with joy and a sense of love whenever I layer you. 

I meet you in a place where I could just be who I am, or who I could possibly be - the charmingly romantic one who refuses to think that eternal optimism is not possible in life, for magic does happen when you believe in it enough, no?

This limited edition Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia (here for more) is most definitely aptly named. Gorgeously feminine and sensual with a tinge of fruitiness and playfulness, it surprises us with her ability to tease and warm us up gradually with a mix of delectable aroma as exciting as taking the first bite of our favourite dish. All our senses come alive and a soft wave of craziness envelops our mind, almost like taking a stroll through the gardens of ethereal flowers or lying in a bed of flowers, feeling all intoxicated.

Jo Malone London The Bloomsbury Set | A Taste of Being Artistically Carefree

Fate has it that even though we remembered incorrectly our exact rendezvous time with this enigmatic yet playful British brand called Jo Malone London that very afternoon, it was the hospitality and determination and kind understanding of the Jo Malone London's Malaysia team that kept us going and told ourselves, we have to make it there, no matter, which eventually, we did (fashionably late, unfortunately).

Bobo KL in Bangsar was transformed into a private space filled with that artistic air, the moment we arrived, as if we have stepped into the world of The Bloomsbury Set during the first half of the 20th century English - an influential group of English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists, the best known members of which included Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E. M. Forster and Lytton Strachey. Simple yet intriguing, we were definitely there to celebrate an unconventional life through scents, specially designed by Yann Vasnier, Master Perfumer.

We had the opportunity to share a beautiful afternoon lunch with Gucci Malaysia at Chinoz On The Park recently, to allow them to introduce us to the brand's latest offering from the fragrance department - Gucci Guilty Absolute. The roadshow and promotion for the fragrance is from 28th April till 7th May 2017. It was a great set-up at the Suria KLCC Concourse area (just like the previous one which we checked out here before), to say the least and we were impressed by it all.

If I were a girl

The howling of the night wind gathers speed, brushing against the ruffles of my collar, 
rubbing against my neck, it feels exhilarating, yet anxious in anticipation, as if, 
something exciting is about to burst onto the night scene, 
I don't particularly like adventures like this, as much as the boys, but then again, 
who likes to be left out, right? 

If I were a girl, perhaps I would be Anne, one of the "famous five" in an Enid Blyton's book. In a strange way, when we were first introduced to Jo Malone London's Wood Sage & Sea Salt, the scent brought us back to those days when we would bury ourselves in the endless adventures of these pages, traversing the unknown, the vast landscapes, imagining what life throws at us, through the skillful writings of this amazing woman author. Those were the days. 

If I were a woman

The crushing wave that comes rushing towards us, gradually subsides and by the time it reaches our feet, it washes away the fatigue that envelopes our mind, like how the sea water cleans away the sand between our toes, in such a soft yet effortless manner, making us fall in love with the fresh scent, again and again, each time we put it on. Other times, it does feel like the British weather, ever a little melancholic, but never dull. We believe, that is what fascinates us about this cologne. It evokes our imagination, our emotions towards a certain particular time and space, elevates us to those moments that equate to earthiness, freshness, yet very grounded in many ways. You make us feel ALIVE, in an extremely poetic state of mind. You sent us to a faraway land, one that calls for love, whispering into our ears to listen, and be ready to open our mind, and heart, to receive new things, new perspectives.
