Introducing The Gorgeous Shu Uemura Skin Perfector

Could beauty be packaged? Could your senses of smell, touch, sight, hearing be infused together and kept in a beautifully translucent glass bottle that captures the best light and illuminates and excites you at the same time, almost like your treasured bottle of fragrance? With the latest release of Shu Uemura's beauty elixir, aptly named the Skin Perfector, yes is the answer, we feel.

Drawing upon years of experience in putting together the best ingredients and that Japanese sensibility and delicate approach towards skincare and beauty, comes this innovative and thoughtful beauty oil, carefully handpicked by Shu Uemura's laboratory team, from more than 200 kind of oils, deducing them one by one down to only the most precious 8 essential oils and 2 botanical oils, each having its own function and contributes towards a more translucent, light-diffusing and radiant skin, after a period of pro-long usage. The combination of essential oils include pelargonium, lemons, peppermint, green mandarin, lavender, sage, cypress and ginger. The botanicals of jojoba oil and rose hip oil work to soften the skin and boost its moisture level.

This specially designed bespoke glass bottle by Hideki Nakajima has that Shu Uemura signature black with a gradian golden tone, truly exudes that sense of class and luxury to the brim, almost catches our eyes immediately. With a quick twist on the cap, the top portion bounces up and it locks back firmly, after use, which is cool. The Skin Perfector comes with an auto dropper dispenser, delivering the right amount of this multi-purpose beauty oil, every time.

Smells absolutely divine once dispensed on the palm and warmed up, we took a few deep breaths to really take in the aromatic goodness of the blend, then only massage it gently over our face. The lightweight texture is something quite out of this world, one that feels extremely different from the rest of the facial oils we have experienced before this. It is most definitely a gorgeous feeling, the tactile experience is an elegant and relaxing one, it excites our senses, awakens the mind and most obviously calms the skin.

How to use? Last step to your skincare and first step to your makeup. The Skin Perfector does not only have skincare benefits and acts as a beauty oil mask at night, it also serves as a beauty oil to enhance the longevity of your makeup. With just a few drops, it does make putting on foundation a breeze, the fluid glides on beautifully and effortlessly, leaving the skin with a little healthy glow sort of finishing look, non-greasy type of feeling as well. Little goes a long way though if one has oily or combination skin, like us *_^

To complete the whole experience, do check out the fun beauty sound player with a list of new age, electronic inspired tracks on the Shu Uemura Skin Perfector website here. Our favourite tracks are Fulfillment, Tender Green and Beautiful World! This is a WINNER for us.

Thanks Shu Uemura Malaysia for the extra love by sending over this stunning oil even though we could not make it to your launch previously. Have a luminously beautiful new week and stay happy, always *_^

  2. That oil blends sound absolutely dreamy, Jeann! This actually reminds me of Smashbox Photo Oil primer which I am still on the fence about it. I've only tried Shu Uemura eye lash curler but this might just be the next product that I would try from the brand.
