Our love for flowers is undeniably real, though it may seem understated for we always feel that flowers represent a certain state of mind of a woman and her femininity and vulnerability yet with that certain underlying innate strength that cannot be ignored nonetheless. That is how we view the power of flowers and their meaning. We believe this Korean beauty brand, Mamonde has successfully captured and harnessed the true essence and purpose of flowers and bring with it a range of beauty items which does not only smell and look fantastic but work wonderful for the skin too! [Review] Dior Backstage | Glow & Shine Like A Dior Model On The Runway

If one watches enough backstage behind-the-scene videos of fashion runway shows, one would be very familiar with the rush and adrenaline that come with prepping and preparing the models' makeup, hair, wardrobe and all, the list seems to go on and on. Makeup is a crucial part of the whole process. This brings us to this blog post (which is long overdue by the way, our apologies), we got a taste of the models line up and got an exclusive VIP pass to witness the launch of Dior's recent Dior Backstage professional performance makeup line at KLCC. The concept behind this first ever makeup collection inspired by Dior backstage was developed and designed by Peter Philips, Dior's Creative and Image Director for makeup to give women around the world a taste of professional makeup. Surprisingly the collection is very extensive and broad, beauty products from face, eyes, lips, makeup brushes right down to nail (here for more)We shall share with you our experience using selected products from the range. Though these little pots of gems were unveiled few months back, they truly come at theright time gearing up for that festive joyous Christmas party look, we believe. We are indeed drooling over the NEW DECORTÉ AQMW EYE GLOW GEMS eyeshadows (here for more) by this Japanese cosmetic and skincare brand. Don't you think they are so pretty already, hidden within the little decorative and motif covers within that little pots of treasures? There were a total of 8 super gorgeous chic shades to play around with and honestly, the result is limitless, entirely up to your own creativity.

Basking in the afternoon warm sun, being whisked off our feet by the scent of the beautiful white orchid all around and being enthralled by the simple sight of an exquisite array of gorgeous looking beauty products displayed, one could only expect nothing less than stunning beauty and lovely time from then onwards. Yes, it was such an afternoon tea session at the Orchid Conservatory of The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and we were about to be introduced to this luxury skincare and beauty brand, La Mer's latest skincare infused makeup collection - Skincolor de la Mer™. We are excited to share with you our own little experience using the collection here today, though it is super long overdue. Let's come with us, will you? 

Review | Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipsticks

We were totally surprised when our friends at Shu Uemura Malaysia dropped us a message recently and asked if we would be interested to try out some of this awesome Japanese beauty brand's latest offerings in skincare and beauty. Of course, we were super delighted and said yes instantly *_^ Today we shall be sharing a little of our experience using Shu Uemura's Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipsticks. The two new shades that we have here are PK354 Ocha Pink and OR550 Yo-yogi Orange.

Introducing Dior Colour Gradation Spring 2017 Collection

Time flies and spring announces its arrival with such energy that it feels like there are so much more to experience, explore and do during this season. One of them would be to uncover what Dior, the beauty brand has to offer this season. Thanks to Dior Malaysia, we had the opportunity to try out some of the beauty items that are available this spring, they called it the Colour Gradation Spring 2017 Collection. (here for more) Shall share our thoughts on them today.

Dior Colour Gradation Eyeshadow Palette (4.5g at MYR260) - Limited Edition

There are two shades of this 4-colour palette, 001 Blue Gradation and 002 Coral Gradation. The one we have is 001. Comes in Dior's signature casing and pouch, the four blue shades of colours look impressive in the pan, adorned with the pleated pattern of the house of Dior, simple yet alluring we feel. 

From sky blue to azure, the cool tones compliment each other and we love how it can be subtle yet the intensity of the eyeshadows are good enough to build up to a more smokey effect for the eyes.  Soft yet buttery feel to the eyes, matte finishing, this palette is versatile. If you love the colour blue, you will fall in love with this one. We did notice the staying power of the eyeshadow was not as expected, an eye base product would be advisable. Here for more.

Rouge Dior Brillant Lipshine & Care Couture Colour

If you had known us long enough, we are not really a lip gloss kind of gal, more lipsticks instead, but we have to say this new one by Dior took us by surprise. We totally enjoyed it as it glides on effortlessly, leaving the lips feeling moist, light, not sticky, very much liquidy kind of feel, yet the colour payoff is intense. It looks more like opaque liquid lipstick rather than a gloss. We are pretty in love with this shade, 878 called Impulsive, really as it gives our lips a pop of colour, looking classic yet with a twist of fun element to it!

We have tried pink mascara before but BLUE would be our first, this one from Dior spring 2017 collection is one really pretty one in terms of the shade of blue, 284 Overnight. Love the packaging of the tube and the wand is built in such a way that it does catches a lot of eye lashes and coats our lashes well with the blue hue. Quite electrifying, the final look and effect. The only little qualm we had with this one is the fluidity of the formula, it feels a tad too thick and dry. If it were a little more watery, it would be so much more easier to glide onto the lashes. When one of our lovely and favourite Korean beauty brands, Mamonde Malaysia extended their invitation to us for their very first Mamonde Flower Day celebration previously at One Utama, we were ecstatic. Why? Because their beautiful brand ambassador, Korean actress Park Shin Hye would be making her appearance for the very first time in Malaysia! Mamonde Flower Day is celebrated to inspire us to show love and appreciation to those we love and admire with the gift of a flower. It is also a day dedicated to admiring the beauty around us, be it the beauty of people or the beauty of Mother Nature. Doesn't it sound lovely already? We totally love the concept of it as we ourselves do truly love the alluring and captivating nature of flowers in general.

This is the result of clé de peau BEAUTÉ collaboration work with contemporary artist Ashley Longshore, where distinctive art decor inspired packaging are created. Painted with whimsical charm in bold strokes and colours, the carefree era and its bold and daring spirit came alive through this season's collectable pieces. XMAS 2016 Series | Dior 2016 Holiday Splendor Collection, Making A Golden Splash This Festive Season

First and foremost, there is a spoiler to this post, as much as we were super excited when we received this season's Dior 2016 Holiday Collection Splendor (here for more) quite some time back, but we didn't get around to photograph them proper yet, hence we never gotten around to try them all out until much later and by now, as we are penning this post, we discovered that some of the items within the collection has already sold out! Ouch, our apologies for not getting this one out much earlier. Nonetheless, in the spirit of Christmas coming right up real soon, we would still love to share just a quick one with you on our thoughts of this super lovely collection from our favourite beauty brand, Dior *_^

clé de peau BEAUTÉ And Its Roaring 20s Charm | A Night of Being Seductively Beautiful

The invitation from our friends at clé de peau BEAUTÉ Malaysia recently was most definitely an intriguing one. It came with the theme of Fearless Beauty In The Roaring 20s and all guests were requested to dress up in our most glamorous Art Deco outfits to fit that night's occasion. We were super excited, and could not wait to attend the soirée, actually.

The occasion or so-called party of the night was in celebration of the launch this luxurious brand's latest 2016 Holiday Collection, aptly having the theme, Les Années Folles. The location? Savini Ristorante Italiano at The Intermark and the venue was transformed into a space and time that we felt we have arrived at a different era, a time when a new, liberated age for post-war Europe was celebrated, a time when a young generation indulged in society's latest trend, the intelligentsia, culturati and artists communed at Parisian sidewalk cafes culture flourished.
