[Review] Escada Agua Del Sol | Saying Farewell To A Sweet Sweet Summer

Summer almost bid us goodbye with a really strong flirty fruity scent, to say the least and we were pleasantly surprised when we received this one from ESCADA via their PR team many moons back. Embarrassed we are that we could only share with you now, when fall is almost here, knocking on LUMI's door.

Looking at the bottle design, oh so flowery, we thought this new Agua Del Sol fragrance would be a floral one, but on the contrary, it is a REALLY fruity one. It entices the wearer in with top notes of a blend of refreshingly crisp nashi pear granita and icy raspberry sorbet (summer treat, anyone?), topped with zests of Italian citrus fruits and touches of energising pink peppercorn. The heart note is one that comprises rose petals and apricot nectar, creamy in ways that almost make us feel way too feminine, like young teenage girls giggling, running along beaches in bikinis (though you would never spot us in one, haha!) during summer time, surfing away or just laying there on the beach, sun bathing away the day. It has that sort of care free feel to the fragrance, one that almost make us wish we could turn back time *_^

This Agua Del Sol finally warms up even further with its base notes of comforting blend of Tonka bean, sandalwood and a white musk cream. Definitely feels like a sun-kissed moment that you could only wish it will not end.

Whenever we put this on, it makes us feel a tad too young, too playful in some ways, not a bad thing but not that exciting for us, personally. Perhaps we are looking for something that is a little more sophisticated? Perhaps it is the sweetness of this fragrance that distance us a little from it all. Maybe someone younger will be able to appreciate it much better? We have no way to tell as we always believe scent is one that is very personal, therefore subjective.

Escada Agua Del Sol EDT 50ml is retailed at MYR233, 100ml at MYR293 and Body Lotion 150ml at MYR98. Thanks Escada for the lovely opportunity to try something new for this summer. It definitely spices things up for us this year around. Here for more about the brand and here to explore the world of fragrances that is Escada.

Have a luminously happy week, lovelies *_^

With love,
Jeann

  3. This scent sounds utterly beautiful for summer, and I have a faint idea of what to expect having worn a fragrance by Escada as a teenager. I wore it religiously every single day for an entire summer, and so have some very happy memories associated with the brand! Like you, I now perhaps find Escada's scents a little too sweet, however nevertheless, they've made their mark on me already :) Beautiful photography as always Jeann, have a wonderful weekend...
