[Review] Beautiful Innisfree Long Wear Cushion SPF50/PA+++

First thing first, we have to say that we have never own ANY types of cushion before this. We have tried samples of BB cream and never really gotten over the thickness of it, which we definitely are not a huge fan of, and we have not tried any CC cream either. So, when we were presented this infamous cushion by the Korean brand, Innisfree, we were a little apprehensive. Will this work on our combination skin? Is cushion that huge in Korea or even outside Korea and that great that we have to give this a try? Perhaps that was our pivotal moment. That little Innisfree Long Wear Cushion we received previously forever changed our mindset towards this little wonderful creation.

Innisfree Long Wear Cushion SPF50/PA+++ (MYR80, include 1 x air magic puff)
Makeup that comes with SPF50/PA+++ is definitely very appealing to us, living in a hot and humid weather country like Malaysia, all year round. This face cushion comes in a simple paper box, well designed with some plant motif and upon unboxing, you will find this face cushion compact, with a blue air magic puff. It supposed to even, brighten, blur away imperfection to reduce the appearance of pores, discoloration, to control sebum and give one a shine-free look and finish. Most likely it is due to its Jeju volcanic powder component that delivers the much needed coverage and long-wearing effect. It is claimed that this powder will intuitively adjust to meet and address one's skin concerns, be it dry, oily or combination skin, for makeup that wears better, longer and truer to the skin colour. There are five shades to choose from and the one we got was NO.23 True Beige.

The compact comes with a mirror and a plastic cover to close the cushion area. It will also have a seal to indicate that it is a new product. (and a gentle reminder to always close the lid back properly to avoid the product drying up). It is also designed to allow you to keep your air magic puff on top of the plastic cover. So, everything is nicely tugged away, and is extremely convenient and portable for travels or even touch-ups. How to use? Easy. Take the puff and dip it into the cushion by slightly pressing into it, using dabbing motion, dab all over the face. Wait for a while to allow for absorption. Then lightly dab around smaller areas like forehead, cheeks and nose, with patting motion till your desired coverage is achieved. Voila, that's it.

The Experience
Most definitely a beautiful one (here for more). The texture is lightweight, soothing on the skin, it covers and evens out the skin tone well, and does not feel too drying or cakey on our combination skin. It instantly brightens up our complexion and making the fact that we love natural makeup super easy to achieve. It gives off a very slight glowing and blurring effect, which is divine. It is not too moisturizing but comfortable enough to keep the makeup last for about 4 to 6 hours, depending on what sort of activities that we do for the day. Touch up is effortless, with the puff and that handy built-in mirror. The magic puff feels soft and nice on the skin. How shall we put it, this cushion feels as light as these lovely soft petals of hydrangea, absolutely a keeper for us. This has been in our handbag ever since we got it. If you are those who love a natural makeup look, this may be something to look into.

Refill packs and air magic puffs are also available for purchase. Refill at MYR49 and the air magic puff at MYR10 respectively.

Well, perhaps if you don't try, you will never know, right? Guess there is no turning back from using a cushion from now on for us *_^ Thanks Innisfree Malaysia for the love. 1. I tried my first cushion compacts last year and I totally fell in love. They're the way to go for portability and buildable coverage. Seems you have discovered that too with your experience. I'm using one by Hera now but this one from Innisfree sounds really nice.

    Have a wonderful weekend Jeann!

    1. I think I have vaguely heard of Hera as well, Korean brand? Too hard to resist now that we have tried these cushions out, huh, Rowena?

  2. I'm pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the price is, I thought it would be RM100plus like every brand seems to be. Barang semua naik, gaji saja tak naik...sigh. I like that the refill and sponge are also decent price, another one to be added into my list.

    1. Yeah. Innisfree is one of my favourite Korean brands for surprisingly Bodycare and hair care, apart from their skincare and beauty.

Ya man, Shireen, let's not get started on our weakening ringgit... Gosh!
