Soft to the touch, luxurious to the feel and most definitely exquisite and pleasing to the admirer, that Burberry scarf speaks volume in heritage and its artisan and craftsmanship. We were terribly honored and delighted to be invited to a private viewing and to experience first hand, how an iconic British scarf is being made, the Burberry way. In fact, that was our very first Burberry event! We were extremely excited and thrilled *_^
The Burberry Scarf Bar is a celebration of the brand's iconic cashmere scarves all made in Scotland (think endless lush green landscapes and mountains, clear pristine streams with all the best mother nature has to offer). Available globally in-store and online and launched on 2nd September 2015, the Scarf Bar offers complete range of heritage and lightweight scarves made from the finest quality cashmere renowned for its feather-light weight and silky feel. Designs that can be personalized and monogrammed to have your scarf just the way you like it, the Burberry way is one enticing idea. In fact, lover of Burberry scarves can choose from over 7,000 options to create their Burberry scarf, exactly they way they love it.
Upon stepping into that cosy and luxurious Burberry boutique space at Pavilion KL that afternoon, we were greeted by the lovely PR staffs and colleagues of Burberry HK and Malaysia. We were amazed by the beautiful fashion items displayed there - the collection that looked familiar from the runway shows, the bags, the trench, the cute little Burberry Bear key chains and so much more! We were enthralled, to say the least and were pampered to the brim with not only nice little canapé but also that oh so gorgeous Burberry beauty and makeup pieces. We even had a quick makeover by the renowned makeup artist, Steven Sunny!
We were escorted by Andrew Chen, our personal Burberry consultant for the afternoon. According to this gentleman, each Burberry scarf is made of 100% cashmere and carefully woven on a traditional loom, then washed in the fresh local waters of Elgin and Ayr and finished by skilled craftspeople using expert methods passed down through generations. To ensure a super-soft feel, Burberry's classic cashmere scant is brushed to produce a surface pile. The luxurious ripple finish is achieved by brushing with natural teasels (those thorny brushes that look like chubby big tooth brush *_^). Then, the delicate, lightweight design is pressed and lightly steamed after weaving to give the cashmere a soft hand-feel finish. The final product is one that is truly soft to the touch, we felt. The scarves are available in two weights - classic and lightweight cashmere and a wide variety of colours, checks and seasonal prints.
You would be surprised how much care is put into making a perfect piece of Burberry scarf, all of them are finished by hand, ultimately. Want to understand more? Watch the video above and you will understand why a Burberry scarf is treasured by many. We wish to own one of these beautifully crafted scarves one day *_^
We had such a pleasant time - great companion, nice learning experience - what more could we asked for, at our very first Burberry event, right? More Burberry events come our way, perhaps an invite to attend one LIVE Burberry runway shows in UK, please! Haha *_^
We hope you have enjoyed a little visual tour of that lovely afternoon and explore more of what this British brand has to offer here and more on their scarves here. By the way, Burberry just released their latest new addition to the men's fragrance line called Mr Burberry! You can watch the video featuring Joshua Whitehouse and Amber Anderson here, filmed by Oscar-winning British director, Steve McQueen. Didn't quite buy the intimacy between the two but we are more intrigued by the behind the scene video called The Art of Film here though as it was shot on 65mm film. Such classic and we are SO loving the bottle already! Can't wait to take a sniff and see how divine it smells *_^
Till our next adventure, stay luminous and happy always, lovelies.

Such a beautiful event Jeann! It is great to understand how a product was made and what it was truly made out of. Were you gifted a souvenior scarf from Burberry? By the way, that lippie shade is gorgeous :)

Yes, I totally enjoyed the occasion! Haha I wished but no. Nonetheless, they gifted some sample size Burberry beauty products and MyBurberry fragrance, which I already have the full size bottle anyway *_^
DeleteThe scarf will be on my wish list! Hopefully one day will come true! Haha
Nice to see you here, Viviene

haha I wish, but they did give us makeup samples and MyBurberry though, which is equally cool *_^
DeleteYou could totally be a brand ambassador for Burberry Jeann! You always write such amazing posts about the brand and your coverage of this lovely event is no exception. The Burberry Scarf Bar looks like such a cool experience which I don't know if Ill get to see firsthand but I feel as if I was there thanks to you :)
ReplyDeleteI was really sorry to hear that life has not been treating you so kind lately. Speaking as a fellow old married lady, love is precious but it can also be unpredictable and when it comes to marriage, it takes the work of two people. I just hope that your situation is one that can be rectified but if not, it's also not the end of the world. Wishing you strength and energy with hopes that you're hanging in there and will overcome this soon.
Thank you for your kind words but I don't know if I'd be good at being an entertainment review cause I have crazy expectations. At least my expectations have been met with DotS. Well for the most part. I guess I'm just more willing to suspend reality for it than some other shows. The only thing I've really hated is the Argus guy because the's pretty cheesy for a villain and the actor who plays him is such a horrifically bad actor. I just cringe everytime he speaks cause his delivery is so bad and he's a native English speaker O_o Glad to hear you're enjoying too! I can't believe it's going to end next week. I think I'm going to have withdrawal symptoms but we are lining up Signal to watch next.
Take care dear Jeann! *hugs*
Haha you are just being modest, Rowena. Am sure you will be make a great film critic. I do have to agree with you on Agus!! Haha
DeleteYes, marriage really takes two and it's a work in progress, hard work. Am sure things will turn out the way it is meant to be... Thanks for your concern. Nice to know someone out there is thinking of me here *_^
Have a lovely new week!
