When we came across this blog post shared by our good NYC blogger friend from Allie NYC (check out her awesome chic blog here!), we just fell head over heels with this collection by All Saints. Though we have heard of the brand, but never really looked into it before this. Their Fall 2014 collection, to say the least, cool, is an understatement. It oozes a sense of downtown chic, so chic that we could imagine ourselves wearing all the pieces here *_^
We simply love the structured look, very streamlined, lean and long, with hues of black, neutral creams, white and soft grey as its main essence, punctuated with bold colours, very occasionally. Those heels and boots are to die for, don't you think? A little glam rock and roll feel to the collection, so gorgeous yet very sensual in a understated manner. Oh gosh! Can we put them on already, please *_^
We are especially loving the coats and oversized knits and sweaters that are long enough to be worn as dresses on their own. The leather jackets and skirts are equally enticing and the layering feels like there are more to be discovered underneath.
The inspiration behind the collection was actually derived from the never-ending posters found on the walls and streets at East London, aptly referred to as Rip It Up. Everyday, old posters are being ripped apart and taken down, replaced by new ones and this in itself, created that multi-layered look and feel that the very collection is inspired by - the layering, the somewhat multi-faceted artwork that has been formed by such action of ripping. Interesting indeed. Discover more details on the design inspiration here.
Love the playful pairing of the cut-out knit top with the sequin skirt and high knee boots, and also the location of the shoot. The model looks effortlessly pulled together with that breezy makeup look and hair. Well, we are drooling over this collection currently and realized there are more precious gems to be explored within the All Saints brand, like handbags and accessories. Head over here for more if you like what you see and the full Fall 2014 collection lookbook here.
So, are you heading out for a New Year's Eve party later tonight? What would you be wearing, we wonder? Anyway, enjoy the last day of the year 2014 and hope you are ready for an even more awesome (keeping our fingers and toes crossed already!) new year that is 2015 *_^
