Beautiful Burberry Functionregalia Makeup Looks Inspired by Burberry Prorsum Womenswear SS16

Developed by Burberry Makeup Artistic Consultant Wendy Rowe, under the creative direction of Chief Creative and CEO, Christopher Bailey, the Functionregalia Makeup Collection previewed at the previous Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring/Summer 2016 runway show was a beautiful play of satin skin with effortless, natural contouring and highlights, nude open eyes, statement lips in iconic Burberry shade Oxblood and signature Nude Beige, finished off with models' nails painted in Optic White and Stone. The celebrities and guests were equally stunning in the similar hues and tones for their makeup, super modern and chic, which we absolutely adore.

[Review] Melvita Organic Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Serum

We had the pleasure to try out Melvita's Organic Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Serum, right about the same time when we were using their Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Duo Facial Oil (reviewed here) previously. You would have guessed it right, we love that facial oil, and still do.

Organic skincare is something that will always get our interest piqued for natural ingredients from organic farming incorporated in a skincare product do not only make the product more appealing, they are also gentler to the skin and the environment and the world that we live in, and harvest from. That respect for our mother nature by French skincare brand like Melvita is something we truly appreciate. 

The Ingredients

Fine lines and wrinkles are a natural progression in life, but we can always have a better approach by preventing the aging process sooner by using an anti-aging product like the Melvita Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Serum, at an earlier stage. Hello from the outside, but you pretend that you did not hear me calling. 

You did not see my child yearning for my love, but I could only continue to mend, to stitch, to sew, so that I could put bread onto my child's plate, so that you could have that piece of clothes you want so much, but would not think twice to put it out of its misery ever so quickly, without much thought when the next new trend come along.

Would you ever turn your back on me? If you had seen how hard I work, day in day out, you would understand the voice that I could not utter, the one that chokes the very breath of my existence.

Bobbi Brown For KLFW 2015 Makeup: Paint The Runway Blue (Part 2)

After the orange accent makeup look featured previously, Bobbi Brown continued to paint the runway beautiful and colourful, this time around, this makeup brand which has been the official makeup for Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week for the past three years transformed the models and made their eyes pop with the colour BLUE at this year's KLFW 2015 previously. We had a chance to check out how the looks were done by the Bobbi Brown team and also had a quick chat with Felix Nguyen, the Education Manager for Bobbi Brown (Asia Pacific). 

Is there one major thematic makeup concept for this year's KLFW? Or is it as per the fashion designer's request?

This year, it is all about having one key focus, whether it be lip, eyes or brows. But the skin is always important and it is all about making the skin look as flawless as possible. With designers, it is a two-way process, so we work quite closely with them.

This time around, we had a crush in all things earthy brown, navy blue, clean silhouettes and oversized sweater with a splash of deep champagne mixed berry tone sort of colour palette, especially for the lips in this autumn season. A Danish photographer, Anders Overgaard's years of working under the wings of world-class photographer like Bruce Weber did pay off handsomely, now that Anders's photography work in the fields of fashion, entertainment, advertising and so much more has cemented his status and further illustrated his artistry in photography - producing stunning imagery all the time, for his endless list of clientele which include reputable fashion magazines, celebrities, corporate companies and more, over the years.

[Review] Innisfree Whitening Pore Synergy Serum

Part of the Dual-Functioning Whitening and Pore Line, Korean naturalism brand, Innisfree's Whitening Pore Synergy Serum is designed specifically just for that purpose - to brighten skin tone while treating pores concurrently to reveal a brighter, even and luminous skin. This very purpose itself got us super excited when we were presented this product from Innisfree Malaysia, some time back, to give it a go, as visibly enlarged pores and dark spots are two of our major skin concerns, for combination type skin like ours. 

The recent cosmetic study on Asian women by AmorePacific, the parent company of Innisfree demonstrated that there is a strong correlation between pore size and skin tone. The finding showed that enlarged pores bring about rough and uneven skin texture which eventually leads to a dull overall skin tone. For us, the dark spots were developed over time over the years as we were too naive to believe in the importance of sun care back in our university time when we were very active in outdoor sports under the scorching sun most of the time. 

Makeup Brushes 101 With M.A.C Cosmetics

M.A.C Professional Makeup brushes to the rescue...

We consider ourselves novice and learner when it comes to makeup, more so with makeup brushes! So we thought what better way to learn than to enlist help from professional makeup brand which is well-known for its makeup artistry and great quality brushes, right? We approached M.A.C Malaysia some time back and asked them if they would kindly show us the way and give us some clues as to the purposes of the makeup brushes and what they do. So, bear with us, the information we will be sharing here may bored the nuts out of you who are really good with your knowledge on makeup brushes already *_^

Haritha Shan, the M.A.C Senior Artist of Malaysia met up with us and was more than happy to share her know-how. First up, she explained that the M.A.C Professional Makeup Brushes are fairly easy to use and identify, in terms of their purpose and functions as they are numerically coded based on just that. 100 series are brushes for the face, 200 series brushes are for the eyes and 300 series for the application of the lips. Any brush that starts with the number 1 would be for face application, so on an so forth. Now, that makes it so much easier already, right?

Clinelle CaviarGold Workshop With Ella Chen

We were delighted when local Chinese Magazine, Sister extended an invitation to us to attend an intimate workshop in conjunction with Clinelle's latest prestigious collection, CaviarGold launch with celebrity Ella Chen 陈嘉桦, the well-known artiste/singer recently. It was held at the quiet space of Khareyana Spa, nestled within the Petaling Jaya area of the city. 

Moments upon our arrival, we could see why it was held there. The tranquility of the spa provided a relaxing atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the little koi pond, mingle around with fellow bloggers and media friends, attempt your own DIY nail art, skin analysis or simply just enjoy and soak in the spa-like feel of the event that afternoon. We also had the chance to experience first hand how to use one of the star products, the CaviarGold Firming Eye Serum through a facial spa, performed by the therapist onto us, among other products used from the collection. It was quite an enjoyable treat.
