KLFW 2015 | Carven Ong - The Finer Details of Being A Woman

We are not able to let it go, not just yet. Yes, after all these while, those detailed work on the gowns that floated down the runway, that very day, are still very much playing in our minds, repeatedly. Hopelessly romantic and graceful, Carven Ong's Collection for Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear 2015 (KLFW2015) was one of the highlights to the annual event this year, for us, personally. (Those few shows that we managed to catch, not all, unfortunately)

We remembered vividly that, our camera kept clicking away when the pieces were presented, as if, involuntarily, without our permission, but we were more than happy to do so. Each piece had its charm, they captured our heart - the beads, the carefully crafted details of embroidery, the materials used, the geometrical lines and the intricately and well-made pieces of gowns, all spoke to us in ways that we could not hold back our excitement. We especially love the muted hues, it seems to set the tone and mood for the season, we felt. It is dreamy, to say the least. We had fallen in love, deep in love this time around.

Carven Ong is an established fashion label in Malaysia, as long as we could remember. Carven is well-known for his elegant evening wear and bridal pieces, dressing celebrities and the likes for many years now. Though we do not know him personally, but we have been a quiet fan of his, admiring his work all these while. We felt, with this latest collection of his, he took quite a different approach to his usual style, introducing fresh elements to evening pieces, and ready-to-wear, especially his choice of textile and materials used for the collection. We thought it was a bold move that worked to his advantage. It is refreshing indeed *_^

We shall leave you with some visuals captured during the recent fashion week. To see the full collection in proper full length shots, you can head over to his Facebook page here. Hope you will enjoy his collection as much as we have, capturing them on stage.

Till our next adventure, have a lovely and happy new week ahead, lovelies *_^

With love,
Jeann

  1. You've described this collection perfectly - 'romantic and graceful'. You're absolutely right, both the intricate designs of the dresses and the dewy fresh-faced looks of the models are both romantic and graceful in the best possible way! I would happily wear these pieces for the rest of my life haha :)

    Have a fantastic week ahead!
