The invitation from our friends at clé de peau BEAUTÉ Malaysia recently was most definitely an intriguing one. It came with the theme of Fearless Beauty In The Roaring 20s and all guests were requested to dress up in our most glamorous Art Deco outfits to fit that night's occasion. We were super excited, and could not wait to attend the soirée, actually.

The occasion or so-called party of the night was in celebration of the launch this luxurious brand's latest 2016 Holiday Collection, aptly having the theme, Les Années Folles. The location? Savini Ristorante Italiano at The Intermark and the venue was transformed into a space and time that we felt we have arrived at a different era, a time when a new, liberated age for post-war Europe was celebrated, a time when a young generation indulged in society's latest trend, the intelligentsia, culturati and artists communed at Parisian sidewalk cafes culture flourished.

What does the brand name OLAY mean to us, one may ask? Well, most definitely one that stood the test of time. We remember quite fondly that the brand existed way back in those days when we were growing up and admiring our own mother enjoying a jar of Olay cream on her classic dressing table. Incidentally, it is also the ONE and ONLY face cream or skincare product that our mother-in-law swears by and used all these years, even till today! If you had a chance to take a peek at her face and skin texture, one would not believe that she is in her 70s now and has less wrinkles than the younger woman next door, seriously! Now, that is what we called revealing your #BestBeautiful *_^

Of course, over the years, Olay as a brand has evolved and progressed to offer women around the world with better and more exciting range of skincare products and expanded to even younger consumers. "Life is a dance between making it happen and letting it happen" says Arianna Huffington. It happened that you walked into my week with such amusement that I found it wicked, but I could only leave it to chances, let's just say that perhaps fate would like that the universe to speak in an utterly strange language that only the both of us could comprehend, in a strange oddly manner. Between staying awake in a make-believe world and dreaming in a real world, words could only be as real as we choose to believe, or otherwise, never to be taken seriously. Just let it be as it can only be a playground of strung-characters that dance to the rhythm of life's lessons, to the beat of the imaginative stage, like the performances of shadows in the light, never meant to come alive, only for the amusement of its puppet owner. It feels a lot like love - love for the sake of loving the fun of it.

Pretence is a subtraction of the state of truth, but can be an addition to a form of entertainment. Perhaps it all depends on which window of perception you choose to open. It feels so much like having to feel the warmth of the sun amidst the coldness of the rain, all at the same time, contradicting, yet could co-exist within the same space and time. Sadly illusive, nonetheless real. Yes, you, the piece(s) of happiness and sanity that we are always searching in life.

Just let it be.

[Review] Lancôme Grandiôse Liner and Grandiôse Extreme | Achieving That Irresistible Winged Eyes

We must first and foremost announce that we have never used a liquid eyeliner before! Just the thought of it scares us a little, feels so daunting, as we have butter and jittery fingers when it comes to drawing some precision lines, more so onto our delicate eyes area with some form of ink that is hard to erase if one makes a mistake. So, eager we were to explore the new Lancôme Grandiôse Liner (here for more) and its partner in crime, the Grandiôse Extrȇme (Mascara) at IOI City Mall when the invite came in from our lovely friends at Lancôme Malaysia recently. With all the #bendtheline buzz around this new fantastic 35 degree bendable wand, an exclusive technology by Lancôme, we definitely needed to check it out and also see if this one will ease our way into using a liquid eyeliner much more pleasantly with less anxiety *_^

[Inspiration | Musing] Oh October, How Should I Exist? For You Or For Myself?

September whisked by with great moments of short escape, long-awaited, totally grateful for such an opportunity. Time spent away out of the norm seems like wind blowing ever so gingerly, beautiful yet disappear without a trace so swiftly. How we wish it could stay on a while more, to ease the tiredness of our mind.

How many of us live this life, putting on the best smiles on our face, but not revealing those tears behind them? How many of us live this life, amongst the sea of humanity, only to feel the loneliest soul that is standing in the middle of the street, or at the edge of the lake, letting our own reflection starring right back at us? How many of us live this life, in pretence that everything is lovely from the outside, when everything else is broken from the inside?

But then again ...

Life should be beautiful, life is beautiful, life can only be beautiful if you allow it to, if you only try a little harder, cease those moments of happiness that silently creep through, like a beam of sunshine in the morning, like the sip of tea in the mind of the wanderer.

Free your mind and believe that the best will belong to you, eventually, one fine day.
