Time To Travel: Our First Time To Bali For The Weekend!

Yes, gosh! We can't believe it either (pinching ourselves *_^), we are heading to BALI tomorrow, yay! All thanks to my work in production. Actually, we are there for a 4-day shoot, not exactly a leisurely travel, but hey, who's complaining, as long as we get to go on a plane and set foot on a foreign land that is as beautiful as the sound of it... Bali *_^

Even though it's just a 3-hour flight away from here, we love the thought of staying at this lovely place called Centra Taum Seminyak Bali (here for more) and going on shoot at this awesome facilities fun-filled location called Canggu Club (here for more). We will be following a group of young Malaysian footballers selected and participating in a junior football camp! 

So, we started packing since yesterday, really excited about the trip. Our mission - pack light but sufficient enough for the 4-day stay there. So, here are some of the things that we will bring along for the trip. 

Skincare can be different from our usual range as we want to take advantage of travel size items, this one by Shiseido White Lucent Brightening travel set comes in real handy. It has everything from foam cleanser, toner, day moisturizer to a serum! Been loving the Senka Perfect Gel, light and effective in removing makeup, will also need the Cyber Color Eye Makeup Remover (far right). We definitely would love to give some TLC to our tired eyes with our Lancôme Advanced Génifique Yeux Eye Cream after a long-day shoot.

[Food] Chilled Sensation With Frozen Watermelon Smoothie and Avocado

Have never come across our mind that this could work! All right, have to admit, it actually happened by accident. My in-laws came into town two days back and as usual, they brought along tonnes of food to stock up in the freezer and the fridge. I ran out of place to put those sliced watermelons that I have cut, so half was eaten, the other half I happily chucked it into the freezer, thought of consuming it the next day. 

So next day came around and of course, it was as hard as a rock! After letting it thawed slightly, I cut it into cubes and threw them into the blender (I love blending things, it's so much fun *_^). Few minutes later, voila, I had made my very first frozen smoothie watermelon drink for the entire family! To add to the fun, since I had avocado, I added the slices into the ice blended and BOY oh BOY! It tasted like heeaaveennnn *_^ Seriously! Never thought that a concoction by wicked chance can taste this awesome-licious! My kids loved it. It is a perfect summery hot treat for everyone, such a cooling sensation. An Enchanted Preview of clé de peau BEAUTÉ Autumn Winter 2014 Collection

Our love for the Japanese makeup and skincare brand, clé de peau BEAUTÉ lingers on like the night air of this Thursday evening that enveloped all our senses, be it sight, sound or the subliminal soothing vibe coming from the lovely set-up ambience of Tanzini, G Tower at the very heart of KL city not too long ago. We awaited with such enthusiasm for the brand to reveal its very latest autumn winter 2014 collection as we all knew very well in our hearts that something beautiful was just around the corner, to be realized and witnessed by the attended guests, celebrities, distinguished clienteles, fans, media, bloggers like ourselves and many others. 

The night went onto a great start by showcasing three beautifully made signature radiance videos by clé de peau BEAUTÉ, featuring the brand's ambassador, the lovely Amanda Seyfried with the latest autumn winter collection makeup look, the signature le crème, le serum and and Intensive Eye Contour Cream.

KLFW2014: Eclipse Showcasing A Very Different Fall/Winter Style

We must say, we were delighted to receive an invitation from our dear awesome fashion designer friend, Sonny San of Eclipse previously to attend their fashion show at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014! (KLFW) We were honored and of course, could not contain our excitement as it's been a while since we let met Sonny during a fashion show like this one!

Our love affair with this well established fashion designer for ECLIPSE dated way back, like what we mentioned in our other post here, we were on shoot, but we knew Sonny when he was the lead judge and mentor for 8 young finalist designers for the mifa8 Fashion Forward TV program back in 2007! He was such a passionate designer and a great business fashion entrepreneur too. 

Eclipse is famous for its draping style of women's wear and most often than not, very feminine as Sonny would always put women before his designs, knowing what women wants best out of their, be it, evening gown pieces or just day-to-day chic ready-to-wear. This show was somehow very different from what we had expected though.

What can we say, she had us at hello *_^ She really did. We stumbled upon her blog quite accidentally few days back while surfing through some of our favorite blogs, and there she was, staring right back at us, with such beautiful features and wonderful pictures all nicely put up at her fashion blog! Simple and easy to navigate, we wandered along and got a little lost in her world of beauty and fashion tips sharing, it was almost like drifting through a wanderlust of beauty in visual style.

We love the way she dresses, her simple and effortless chic approach to fashion, yet crafting her own signature style along the way, most of the time, colours are kept to a monochromatic theme, but at times, will jazz up her looks with some pop of vibrant hues.

POWER can be elusive, but empowerment is not. We love for a fact that one bestows the idea of empowerment towards women today and make us believe that we are in control of certain areas in our lives, for instance the choice of fashion we make, the type of style we choose to take on and reflect our personality with. We love fashion designers who embrace such ideal and celebrate with us, for that matter. BERNARD CHANDRAN has been that brand, who always forefronts not only women being in that state of mind, but also fashion-forward in pushing fashion to its greater limits. This latest Raya season's collection, WANITA BERKUASA (literally means women in power in Bahasa) is no exception.

His fascination in constantly pushing the boundaries and not resting on the comfort of laurels has led to evolutionary contemporary results years after years, it is one passion that we truly admire. Our first encounter with the maestro was way back in 2009 (yes, we were producing the Miss Universe Malaysia 2009 TV reality show) when we did an interview with him and featured his collection. Such an amazing person he is, and a fabulous designer! (Psst, yes, I was the one standing right in the middle of his boutique, while my hubby was going through the shoot with Dato').  By "we" here I mean, myself as a TV producer in my full time work at PATJENN FILM *_^

Now you see it, now you don't! Yes, it is like magic *_^ Like a magician who waves his magic wand and TIME seems to hide away in its secret hiding place and will only come out and play again when the right time comes along. Such illusive approach it is that one can't seem to not be intrigued by its creation and functionality, cleverly presented by this luxury French fashion brand in its watch collection. We are amazed by the way the HERMĒS’s Dressage L’heure masquée watches are designed and conceptualized by. We hope you will find it as interesting as we do.

How could a woman not love an Elie Saab dress? Well, at least, not for us. We fell head over heels for this fashion designer's latest Autumn/Winter Collection at the runway recently. We have always been loving his style - very detailed, elegantly feminine, and a kind of stylish sophistication that defines what a real woman really is, and want, deep down - to be wrapped in pretty dresses like these.  Don't they just look divine?

[Eating Out] New Discovery: Kobo Bakery

Just the other day, wondering on the streets of Taipan, we had some time to kill before running the next errand, we wandered into this new place called Kobo Bakery. Since we love bread and all, so, we decided to give the coffee there a try. 

Though the bakery is fairly new, but they whipped up quite some choices of bread and desserts. We were fascinated by the interesting offerings and were given some samples of bread and buns to taste. Surprisingly, they were pretty delicious. It was a late morning, the buns tasted fresh from the oven, and it has a soft airy feel to it. Perhaps it is the natural yeast that was used, perhaps it was just that fresh morning feel, we wonder?

There is always a love affair between those beautiful layers of soft silk and the dazzling sparkles of the jewellery, gem stones, combining the best of both world, one could find it at the recent Selberan's Songket Reinvented Collection, jewellery by Comyns and the Royal Selangor featuring Alia Bastaman's Raya Collection showcase! What more, this is the perfect pairing since Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around the corner. It is most definitely a celebration in style and comfort chic.

Introducing RMK Autumn Winter Collection 2014 Power of Love

AUTUMN is looking pretty contrasting with RMK, combining the strength of love, yet embracing the softer side of this emotion, hence the autumn collection aptly called Power of Love. Strong yet sensitive, kind yet tough, essentially this is what modern women these days really are. We need to remain comparatively "tough" from the outside, since most of us are career women today, yet, deep down, we are just a gentle woman that needs all the tender loving care that we can get (be it showered upon us by our loved ones, or even by ourselves for ourselves for that matter). Anyhow, we are one of a kind, a force to be reckoned with (don't play play, all right *_^). RMK understands this part of us and therefore, presenting us a limited collection that encompasses exactly these two different elements - MATTE and SHINY, for us to express ourselves depending on the mood we are going for. [Inspiration] Photographer Crush | Alena Soboleva From NYC

Loving how a fashion photographer has that keen eye to capture his or her subject matter in such a manner that is equally captivating and enchanting at the same time, even though it may look really simple. We accidentally stumbled upon this New York based fashion photographer, ALENA SOBOLEVA via her "like" on one of our pictures posted (thanks thanks *_^) on instagram. 

We find her work interestingly simple but filled with visuals of models or subjects (mostly women) who look really natural yet hypnotic in a very chic manner. Lighting looks just right and these women look really beautiful and uber comfortable in their own skin.

KLFW2014 : Jimmy Lim EXPOSED Autumn/Winter 2014 Unveiled

Yes, we were so excited and happy that our dear long-time-friend cum award-winning super cool fashion designer Jimmy Lim extended an invitation to us so much earlier before the local Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear 2014 (KLFW2014) event kick started recently at Pavilion KL **Muah and big hugs** Needless to say, we were counting down to the days and hours, literally *_^

The annual happening event organized by AndrewsModels has been much anticipated by both the participating fashion designers, media as well as sponsors alike and fashion enthusiasts. We were eagerly waiting to see what new fashion trends or looks that our local designers were set to amuse and impress us with. Well, from what we have seen, those shows that we were invited to, our local designers have more than meets the eyes. We shall share with you as we go along, in the weeks to come! 

A New Coach Malaysia at Pavilion KL Boutique

We were fortunate enough to be invited by a close friend to attend the re-opening of the luxury brand's boutique, COACH at Pavilion KL recently. It was a fun-filled affair, seeing all the who's and who's in the fashion and entertainment industry making their appearances there. The guests were even being entertained by a small catwalk there, showcasing the latest product range by COACH.

It was such a co-incidence that our blogger friend Alice from ByAliceLoh could not make it to the event, she invited us to take her place instead. Thanks for remembering us! Off we went to Alexis at The Gardens Mall recently to check out more about this Taiwanese brand which offers a series of pore solutions skincare regime. We were pretty excited as this was our first time attending a Sasa Malaysia event *_^ 

As everyone gathered around and getting ready, we spotted Dr. Hsieh Chien-Yang and his team, seated at a corner, getting ready for his session. We mingled a little and got to know some new blogger friends along the way. The friendly team of Sasa Malaysia swiftly showed us briefly of the skincare series on each of our table and let us "play" with them. Not long after, the event got on its way.

Sometimes beauty can be very simple and sophisticated at the same time. We are currently loving this editorial of Elisa Sednaoui by Nico for Harper's Bazaar Turkey July 2014 issue. We love the exotic approach, the feeling of flowiness with the pieces, yet exude tremendous femininity in a woman, giving that certain carefree sort of feeling, yet, with a certain degree to glamour and luxury. The whole look is pulled together very well with decadent jewelry pieces to enhance it further. Very sensual indeed. Absolutely loving this.
