Are you the light of my life? Do you sparkle with delight when you see me smile, from a distance away, across the room, watching you stealing glances at me? Do you light up instantly when you listen to my endless jokes, even if they may sound so terribly silly? Do you shine in brilliance when you know that I am in complete happiness, or perhaps do you just reflect the blissfulness I feel, illuminate back to me, from the pupils of your eyes, the window to your soul, ever so subtly, but surely? These would probably be how one would experience and feel, when you have met, and found your perfect match, in life, a hopeless feeling that you can't deny, but only to surrender to its allure.

To us, it felt almost just like that, that very lovely afternoon, in the cosy ambience of The Private Room of The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur. We felt, we have arrived there to witness a perfect match, came together. Yes, it is the exclusive partnership between a leading premiere jewellery brand, originated from Singapore, SK Jewellery with ALLOVE Diamond.

The research and development of diamond cutting techniques began in the early 15th century and it took mankind a few centuries to master this skill. Fueled by his dream of bestowing the love of his life a perfect diamond ring, a 30-year journey of mastery and perfecting the art of diamond cutting craftsmanship of a man who travelled to Belgium, the diamond capital of to the world, finally yielded the finest result, 30 years later - the ALLOVE Diamond was born.

We were told that an ALLOVE diamond boasts of an 81-facet cut, as opposed to the traditional 57-facet cut. Under the loupe, one can vividly see the symmetrical cut of 10 perfect hearts (seen from the bottom) and 10 perfect arrows (seen from the top) - the hallmark of an ALLOVE diamond. The perfectly aligned facets eliminate light leakage and increase light refraction within the diamond, enhancing its beauty to truly sparkle within. The ALLOVE 10 hearts and 10 arrows diamond cut has been patented in over 100 countries, including the United States of America, Europe and Asia. It is one of the few diamonds in the world that own exclusive intellectual property rights.

Good to also note that each ALLOVE diamond is unique and assured by international certification bodies. The ALLOVE logo, a unique identification code and an international certification number are inscribed on every diamond's girdle, which can be verified on the ALLOVE official website.

A diamond needs to be crafted with care and precision to achieve its beauty. It takes 2.3 times longer to cut an ALLOVE diamond compared to a conventional 3 x EX (Triple Excellent) diamond. It is also extremely rare for any rough diamond to make the cut or to be selected as an ALLOVE diamond as only 1 out of 1,000 would be qualified, and all of them are carefully handpicked and ethically sourced.

We had the pleasure to be seated next to the CEO of SK Jewellery that afternoon, while enjoying the hi-tea, Mr. Daniel Lim told us that SK Jewellery is a brand that believes in deepening the knowledge and know-how of diamonds and jewellery and is extremely dedicated to providing consumer the best of the best quality diamonds available today. With this new partnership with ALLOVE diamond, the company truly believes that it has set a new benchmark in the diamond industry with such high quality and precision piece of art work - an ALLOVE Diamond that is the perfect interpretation of love, like how the Chinese would describe it, 十全十美, which means a perfect 10.

The afternoon was made more pleasant by a collection showcase with three stunning models wearing the pieces from the ALLOVE collection (our favourite seen here above), as well as having the opportunity to take a much closer look (and feel) of the pieces of stunning jewellery. The ALLOVE diamond most definitely shine bright in absolute brilliance and revealed its glory under the loupe, compared to the normal 57-facet diamond!

Guess what? After much research, we found ourselves swoon over another piece of statement jewellery by the brand, it is this stunning elaborate piece that draws inspiration from the DNA molecule's double-helix structure, called Light Of Life, above. Truly an avant-garde piece that showcases luxury, elegance and femininity all in one bold 18K white gold piece which apparently is priced at MYR3 million.

It was a pleasant afternoon of jewellery discovery and learning, first hand from the charming CEO himself and the team itself. We were told that SK Jewellery office in Singapore has a floor dedicated to research and development on the crafts itself. We sure hope to have the opportunity to visit the vicinity one day to explore further. It wouldn't hurt ALLOVE brand that they actually signed up popular Korean singer songwriter, Hwang Chi Yeul as their spokesperson for his good looks and talent do match the brand image well.

Stay luminous and happy always, lovelies *_^

With love,
Jeann

  3. Beware of sk jewellery and it's group companies.
They have been issuing diamond grading reports/certificates under the name of Institute of Advanced Gemology with an address in Hong Kong. ( www.iag certification.com ) (IAG )
    It does not exist.
Institution of Advanced Gemology Pte Ltd of Singapore exists and it's owned by sk jewellery. IAG is not mentioned on sk jewellery websites. IAG website misrepresents ACTUALITY. Approx 50% of the web sample data is missing from an actual report. Critically the report does not mention whether the stone is natural or not, nor whether it has been improved by heat treatment.
BEWARE. Full proof can be seen at Google comments.
