[Review] Diorskin Forever | And Ever Makeup Primer Base & Perfect Makeup Fluid Foundation

We openly admits that we are a Dior fan, period. We have come to enjoy the brand since some time last year and it has been a wonderful journey thus far (discover it here). Today, we would love to share with you our little experience using this range that is new to us from Dior - The new Diorskin Forever, which we had the pleasure to try out - The Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Primer & Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup (Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect) Fluid Foundation.

This Diorskin Forever makeup range has been reinvented to provide continued correction as well as matte and fresh finish that supposedly last for 16 hours. Of course, there is another product within this range, which is the Diorskin Forever and Ever Control Loose Powder, but that will come in our future post, coupled with another sculpting beauty product from Dior, in due time *_^

[FACES] The Charismatic & Talented Nicholas Chua of The Soloist Salon

A life filled with memories and stories like growing up struggling, financially, playing in a band, jamming with friends after school, drawing portraits and comics, behaving mischievously like skipping classes or getting into fights, then moving onto selling jeans, boots to earn a living, right down to taking up hair lessons and subsequently winning the coveted REDKEN IDOL competition in 2006 and now owning and running his own hair salon with another two founding partners, how would one categorise such a personality? 

An entrepreneur in the making? Or a man who has come full circle in life and is now learning to take his own stride, after much life experiences? Perhaps a bit of everything as the way we see it, it is such colours in his life that made him who he is today - a man who treasures the good times but will not forget the hard times from the past that made him stronger today. Yes, we are talking about our FACES personality, NICHOLAS CHUA, one of the founding partners and proud owner of The Soloist Salon, our official hair partner (in crime *_^), which we introduced previously here. Formulated with the Floral Biotics Technology, this newly formulated pair from Mamonde called the First Energy Essence and First Energy Serum have recently been upgraded with the antioxidant Lactobacillus that is extracted from the Honeysuckle flowers. [Inspiration | Musing] This Summery Blue and White, Escaping The Black

We fall in love with that soft summery blue this season, mingled with that ever so beautiful black and white, almost so raw, yet captivated by its pure essence of how beautiful is spelt, across a space that is almost so surreal, yet grounded in existence.

We took a walk in the sun, between the beating summer sun and the alleys, at times, we stopped and observed the little corners which we could hide away and just be ourselves, talking into the humid thick air, as if someone is listening, right around the corner, it is crazy yes, but it is so fulfilling, or paint ourselves a little painting that make no sense but filled our hearts with pockets of happiness and joy.

Say you love me forever, and you will never stop, even though I am a little off beat, even though I may seem naive. Say it with conviction, I want to hear it loud and clear.

The St. Regis KL and La Mer. What do these two have in common? The words luxury and dreamy spring to mind. We had the privilege to experience the best of both worlds that morning when we agreed to attend La Mer Malaysia's launch of one of their most anticipated and exciting beauty products - the all NEW Moisturizing Soft Lotion, recently. The brand called it A Fluid Expression of An Icon. We were super excited to say the least, as that was our very first La Mer event. Thanks team La Mer Malaysia for having us!

[Review] Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Cushion Compact SP50 PA+++ | A Natural Comforting Look

If you had read about it previously here, you would have known how lovely and healthy that morning was for us, to have spent some time with the brand, Bobbi Brown, getting to know their spring offerings. Today, we would love to share with you one of the beauty products which is a main stay from the gorgeous brand - the Skin Foundation Cushion Compact SPF50 PA+++, a very first cushion from Bobbi. Yes, the cushion craze is still going strong in the beauty industry, and we feel it is one to stay.

We feel Bobbi has put in quite some thoughts into designing this very first cushion for her brand. Immediately, one would notice it looks quite different from the usual pre-soaked compact from the Korean counterparts. The liquid foundation does not saturate the cushion till first use. According to Bobbi Brown, this cushion is indeed special due to its capsule technology and airtight packaging (this helps minimise drying and preserves the longevity and freshness of the formula).

Beneath that familiar face which graces magazines and commercials like Nivea, Coca-cola and Honda, just to name a few, with his good looks, lies a young guy who loves music and watches TV series to de-stress and is actually quite a private person who rather prefers to keep it simple whenever he is not on stage performing, with his trusted violin. This Malaysian-born talented musician who spends most of his time growing up in Melbourne, Australia is one whom we were about to meet, that afternoon, thanks to the kind arrangement of our friend at M.A.C Cosmetics Malaysia.

Holds a double Bachelor Degrees in Law and Commerce from Monash University, Josh Kua arrived looking sharp in a crisp white shirt and jeans. His quiet demeanour was one that stood out upon our initial encounter. Taking pictures of him was a breeze naturally, though we could sense that Josh was professional enough to make sure that we could capture the best shots of him. Seated after the quick photo session, we started our conversation over drinks at the Pastis with this international violinist who had just successfully completed his very first concert in Malaysia called Relentless, not too long ago, before the interview.
