A Fun Affair With Valent:me x Sony Pictures Malaysia "Let's Celebrate Love With The Wedding Ringer"

All right, let's admit it, we are way passed that courting stage in life and no longer looking for that special someone out there, but there are still those who are searching for that one person, or perhaps, just trying to look for new friendships and connections. Valentime is set to provide such friendly platform for those who are looking to mingle with new friends or even for couples to rekindle their relationship and spend more time together, stress-free from the ever-attention-seeking kids and daily worries *_^

We had the opportunity recently to be a part of Valentime's first ever movie-social-tie-in event at eCurve, brought to the participants by Sony Pictures Malaysia and other sponsors. Furthermore, it was not your usual commercial theatre, but rather, it was an intimate gathering of carefully pre-selected participants, being pampered to a luxurious first-class movie experience at the Platinum Movie Suites at the Cathay Cineplexes! Which film you might be wondering we were watching? Fun-filled The Wedding Ringer it was *_^

Guest appearance by Fayse

Upon arrival, guests were treated to a simple yet delicious spread of Western food and free flow of drinks (thanks Pepsi Malaysia *_^). Soon after, we were gathered together by the emcee of the day and the special guest was introduced. He is a local singer-songwriter, music producer, host and actor, Fayse 吴国菲, who recently launched his Malaysian ever crowd-funded album Fayse the Music. We also started playing some games to warm up and get to know each other better. It was quite a fun-filled session there.

Not long after, it was time for us to hit the Platinum Movie Suites. Two screens with a total of 46 ultra spacious seats to choose from, with premium facilities like fully reclinable twin seating (the love birds or couple seats for those romantic moments) and a touch-of-a-button butler service! Unfortunately, we were so engrossed in The Wedding Ringer that we completely forgot about pressing that little button. Besides, we had popcorns and mineral water, and a good dose of humour to keep us occupied *_^

The Wedding Ringer is a story about a socially awkward Doug Harris (Josh Gad) trying to pull of a fake wedding (he needs some fake best men), with the help of a "professional" best man, Jimmy Callahan who runs an agency called Best Man Inc. whose business is doing exactly that. Unfortunate turn of events lead them to some revelation in the end and along the way, friendship is forged between the two. A really hilarious movie, most definitely! Our favourite scene will have to be the dancing sequence *_^

All in all, it was a great Saturday afternoon, spending time getting to know some new friends and enjoying a movie in the most nicest comfortable way that one can imagine. Thanks Valentime for having us *_^
