We love the lightness of Diorskin Nude Air serum foundation which we blogged about previously here, let's talk about the other two items we received from the Nude Air range today, shall we?
Lightness in terms of base makeup is what we have always been dreaming of. Even though we may not be bestowed with the best of skin, masking and covering up perfectly is never our intention when it comes to makeup. We feel foundation or face products should always be light enough in terms of feel on the skin, but does its job wonderfully in terms of giving the right amount of coverage, without leaving our face looking cakey. Dior's Diorskin Nude Air range, we feel has lived up to this expectation that we have as a wonderful base makeup finishing.
Diorskin Nude Air Healthy Glow Invisible Compact Powder (MYR204, 10g)
Comes in a deep blue box, housed in a specially designed casing for the compact and the kabuki brush with a tiny pouch, Nudeskin Air Compact Powder is the result of a well-thought out elegant design - silver reflecting cover/casing with the signature cannage Dior motif, snap into place easily and a mirror upon opening and embossed with the wordings of "Nude Air", it immediately captures the heart of the proud owner. At least, that is how it made us feel upon first glance *_^
It is said that this perfectly natural-looking makeup is enriched with transparent pigments, the formula contains airy powders, invisible to the naked eye that provides the perfect shade and coverage without altering the natural skin tone. Sweet orange extract is coupled with vitamins and minerals to tone and soothe the complexion. This non-occlusive and "breathable" compact powder acts like a "smart fabric" to create a layer of pollution-fighting shield that limits the absorption of harmful particles without affecting the natural functioning of the skin.
When applied with the soft kabuki brush, this powder does glides on easily, with a few sweeps and we barely feel and see that the powder is there, yet it somehow evens out the skin tone in the most subtle way and immediately brightens up our complexion. It does not feel drying, cakey or cling onto pores. It just feels like our second skin but looks just better and refreshed with a velvety finish. Love this product, comes especially handy in the bag. Only thing is that the little pouch to keep the kabuki brush does not have a zipper for closure, so at times, the kabuki brush will fall out of its pouch. So, just need to be a little extra careful for safe keeping. The kabuki brush is soft on the skin and has a nice feel to it. This compact powder comes in 4 different shades and the one we have is 020 Light Beige which suits our skin tone perfectly.
Diorskin Nude Air Healthy Glow Invisible Loose Powder (MYR199, 16g)
To compliment the finishing look, (if one is using the serum foundation) this healthy glow loose powder is quite a charmer. Having the same properties like the compact, this loose powder is ultra light on the skin, feels airy and has a very fine texture. Again, housed in a sleek silver cannage cover, it comes with a soft white puff that one can buff the powder onto the face and slowly work at it to complete the look. It helps in a way to keep our skin matte. Love the texture of this powder. This loose powder comes in 4 shades as well and the one we have is shade 020 Light Beige.
Between the two, the compact is most definitely travel friendly, but the loose powder is a dream to have around if you put on your makeup at home, in the morning before you head out *_^ Both have become one of our current favourites.

These both sound really lovely especially the loose powder and the packaging is gorgeous too. I stopped wearing foundations/powders because I like my skin to breathe but with all these amazing new formulations, you can really get coverage without the heaviness now.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful week Jeann! Loving the look of your site refresh :)

Hi Rowena,
Deletewell, I guess less is more. you adopting not to use powder or foundation does seem like a great idea! I wish I can too but still need a little coverage, especially for meetings or event, but I don't mind going out without makeup though on normal days *_^
Totally agree about the need of light foundation-- loved your writing, and the way in which you captured these images totally aid the feeling of airiness. Such a beautiful collection! xoxo
