Gourmet Festivities At Epicurean Market 2014 at Marina Bay Sands!

Sharpen your knives (for those who would love to take up a cooking challenge or learning class), bring out your aprons and empty your stomach (and minds to learn new tricks) as Epicurean Market Singapore 2014 is all set to wow you with the most extravagant gourmet festivities of your lifetime, bringing you world-class stella chefs, their expertise, and exquisite food and wine tasting and a whole lot more in this second-year installment of an uber exciting event down at the beautifully tantalizing Marina Bay Sands from the 12th to 14th September 2014 in Singapore.

Oh boy,  looking at the line-up and the offerings from more than 65 brands all over the world, Epicurean Market 2014 is set to indulge the palates of food aficionados over a multi-sensory gourmet celebration all through the 3 days (and night *_^)

Why should I be there, you may ask? Why not?! FOOD and possibly one of the best PLACES in Singapore, what could be a better combo than this, right?

db Bistro Moderne Marina Bay Sands

Catch the kitchen coming alive and camaraderie as internationally renowned chefs cook live to whip up their signature dishes for the Epicurean Market. Enjoy freshly shucked oysters at db Bistro Moderne with its new raw oyster bar, gourmet DBGB hot dogs, a selection of delicious charcuterie and warm madeleines.

Pizzeria Mozza Marina Bay Sands

At Mozza, guests will get to dip their hands into fresh dough and learn from the masters to make orecchiette by hand (most typical pasta shape of Puglia, a region of Southern Italy). Mozza will present fresh pasta and pizza dishes and cookbooks from celebrity chefs Nancy Silverton and Mario Batali.

CUT at Marina Bay Sands

CUT by Wolfgang Puck will serve delicious Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Shrimp and Crap Louis, Chocolate and Caramel Push Pop Ice Cream (oooohhh so smooth!). At Waku Chin, Chef Tetsuya Wakuda will debut a series of Japanese pastries in addition to his award-winning cuisine with dishes such as the signature Marinated Botan Shrimp with Sea Urchin and Caviar ("dangerously" high-class *_^), Grilled Ohmi Beef with fresh wasabi (Spiceeeyyy-licious *_^) and Carpaccio of Petuna Ocean Trout with Bitter Salad. Oh dear... can you see me drooling already??! Luckily not, Haha!

Sky on 57 at Marina Bay Sands

For a taste of Chef Justin Quek's Franco Asian Cuisine, Sky on 57 is offering Justin's Signature Foie Gras, Xiao Long Bao, Buri-oh Ceviche with black truffle vinaigrette and daily specials such as Pan Roasted Iberico De Bellota Neck. In addition, guests will get to sample dishes of upcoming restaurants at Marina Bay Sands by chefs David Thompson and David Myers.

Throughout the 3-days-activities-packed event, guests can lounge, sample food, beverages and wine, join the series of Masterclasses offered and also get a chance to witness, for the very first time, executive chefs Jonathan Kinsella (db Bistro Moderne) and David Almany (Osteria Mozza) battle it out with one another in the Mystery Box Challenge, to present the best dish using only ingredients from the mystery box in an hour or less! (Wow, sounds like reliving the Masterchef experience, but now you get to watch it LIVE if you are there! Awesome indeed). Selected chefs are also hosting their so-called Celebrity Chefs Dinners! So much more is happening at this year's Epicurean Market Singapore 2014! Here for more details.

  1. The place is a little on the pricey side, but boy do you get your money's worth! Our event was as smooth and stress-free as could be. The whole thing at the NYC events was just perfect!
